Hi BamaRider,
I am totally dumbfounded, I came from another Catholic forum with several members who were very aggressively supporting Pro-Choice candidates, including a couple of moderators. Even to the point that they seemed to be campaigning for them. I don’t know what is happening to the Holy Roman Catholic Church. I think that is why the Pope is visiting during the election, to remind us of our values. Those who were defending Voting Pro-Life were starting to notice our older postings being trimmed down, specifically the more effective arguments. Basically they seem to give much higher weight to social issues than these little lives. They trade their morals for the candy given out by Pro-Abortion candidates, then try to rationalize it. Sometimes they will cite the war.
From my experience, I tend to think that people are having difficulty grasping the numbers. 50 million minutes (number of murdered innocents) ago it was 1912, the year the Titanic sank. I don’t think we hit 4,000 deaths in the war yet, but 4,000 minutes was only two days ago. The war is like a bucket of water in the ocean as compared to abortion.
I posted this before: I believe that Dr. Dobson has the right strategy. There are 77 million Roman Catholics in the United States. If all these Roman Catholics agreed to vote Pro-Life, both parties (Republican & Democrat) would be forced to run Pro-Life candidates. I think that is why the Pope is visiting.
God Bless
