Just be careful that you do not discard, because of an unhealthy pride or predjudice, a third party candidate who IS capable of winning this election . We should listen to what every candidate has to say before making such a wrongful unjust declaration. Don’t be like the crowd at the praetorium shouting, “Release to us Barabas!”*

I believe I said a “write in candidate doesn’t have a snowball’s chance…”; obviously if there is a third party candidate who 100%Pro Life and who has a resonable chance of winning - that is the candidate to support. However, as of today, that person is nowhere on the radar. My feelings have nothing to do with political parties or alliances. I read what the Bishops and the Pope have said regarding our responsibilities as citizens of this country to vote in a responsible manner and that the Right to Life trumps all other issues. There is no “unhealthy pride or prejudice” in saying what i did, only a sincere concern that the unborn are given a chance to enjoy life. :tsktsk:

In more than 200 years, only one third party candidate has won the presidency. And that election destroyed one of the two main parties – making the third party the new main party – and plunged the country into a civil war, our bloodiest war in our history.

Who is to say that a candidate who is 100% pro-life will not be “on the radar” by November? April 15 , the date of the major press conference has not yet come. By their fruits you will know them.

A wonderful quote! What sort of “fruits” do you produce when you vote for a candidate who has no chance of being elected? …answer: none. This is why I support the best viable candidate to advance my Catholic principles.

Having your reasonable doubts is one thing, but spreading it like gospel and perpetuating a potential falsehood is wrong. How is that being a responsible voter? Should we not at least listen to what this candidate has to say before closing your minds to the possiblity that a third party candidate could be a blessing for this country?

**If **a pro-life third party candidate enters the race, and **if **he makes a showing of as much as 4%, he will siphon those votes from a candidate who can win and who supports the right to life (albeit imperfectly) and bring about the victory of a pro-abortion candidate.

You said, “by their fruits you will know them.” You are right – and their fruits may well be a victory for the pro-abortion candidate.
 
Until we get an attorney general who is willing to charge women who have abortions with murder, then there’s not point in worrying about who is going to be president. I think we can all agree that any women who has had an abortion is guilty of murder, yes?
