Why would a straight person leave the Catholic Church over our teaching on gay marriage?

If someone who is against the gay agenda could post exactly what it is I would love it.

Adults cannot be snatched out of the fire. That’s why even with all the warnings, the rich man’s relative in the Bible wouldn’t have changed his ways. Luke 16:27) And he said, ‘Then I beg you, father, that you send him to my father’s house— 28) for I have five brothers—in order that he may warn them, so that they will not also come to this place of torment.’ 29) But Abraham said, ‘They have Moses and the Prophets; let them hear them.’ 30) But he said, ‘No, father Abraham, but if someone goes to them from the dead, they will repent!’ 31) But he said to him, ‘If they do not listen to Moses and the Prophets, they will not be persuaded even if someone rises from the dead.’”

People have a choice to make, to follow God or not. If they don’t want to follow Him and persist in their errant ways, sitting in Church with people around them isn’t going to help them.

So, purifying the Church is not an action I take, but rather it would be an action that occurs if people realize they don’t fit there because of their divergent beliefs. Essentially, the Church will get a lot smaller, which it is already.

Yes.Those who actively, obstinately, and persistently reject fundamental Church teachings on the Sacrament of Marriage know exactly what they are doing. They are heretics and have excommunicated themselves.
