Why would anyone want to be a Mormon or Jehovah Witnesses?

You are mistaken. This site contains a harmony of the various accounts. It shows that there are omissions from the different accounts, but not contradictions.

Actually, the site you provided shows plenty of contradictions, but does not include all the versions. So, go to the thread and show us how there are no contradictions

in mormonism, the father and son are human beings. is the holy spirit a human being? is the holy spirit a physical being? where did the holy spirit come from? the son is procreated by the father, but what is the holy spirit’s origin? when was the holy spirit created? is there a separate holy spirit for every heavenly father?

Fine. My testimony of the Holy Ghost proves to me, beyond the shadow of a doubt, that the Mormon church is a cult.

Prove me wrong. How are you right, and I am wrong, if the same Holy Spirit provides testimony to both of us?

Sure it does. Joe Smith said that very certain things happened at very certain times, and it’s been proved that they’ve not happened at all.

Ergo, Joe Smith was either completely misinformed, or a liar down to his very bones. I suspect it’s probably a little of both.

Yes, it is blind faith otherwise you could complete this sentence: I have a testimony for the truth of the Book of Mormon because _____________. And the blank would be filled with an objective fact.

Joseph Smith was not a liar either. His vision is true. The differences do not amount to contradictions. They are simply different accounts given at different times (mostly orally) with different amounts of detail.
