Why you should think that the Natural-Evolution of species is true

That we can write, “We are not apes.” provides clear and sufficient evidence that we are not apes.

And at the same time we get the silly notion that evolution from preexisting material can’t happen.

For beings like us, who created nothing, it smacks of arrogance to tell God how our bodies came to be without employing our God-given reason.
Which is more fallible?

Divine Revelation?

-or-

Human reason?
Red herring/false dichotomy/straw man

Scientists don’t “believe in” evolution. It’s science. It’s observation. Experimentation. Deduction.
This where you are wrong. It is not empirical science. The study of past one time events is historical science. It cannot be observed, repeated or predicted.

It is therefore philosophy and in many cased religion with blind faith.
I’ve said it a few times before:
you have absolutely no idea what you’re talking about.

What in your mind makes something an ape? How does a differently shaped foot change that?

How so? Since we’re apes, clearly some apes can write “we are not apes”. Most we know of, in fact all but one species of ape, cannot. Again apes is a relatively high level classification.

What you said is a non-sequitur to the point I made.
You do not understand the material that you post about day after day.

You have no opinion on this?
My opinion is of no consequence. I am faithful to the living Magisterium of the Catholic Church.

Here are some resources :
Catechism of the Catholic Church
Fides et Ratio Pope JP2 (Saint)
Theology of the Body JP2 (exhaustive exposition of Genesis)
Bp Robert Barron prominent evangelist/teacher etc
Verbum Domini Pope Benedict
JP2’s address to the pontifical Academy of Sciences which specifically mentions evolution and discusses Humanii Generis.

It’s your responsibility to educate yourself and not scandalize others.
I’m sorry, but ignorance oft repeated is no longer ignorance.

I don’t believe in evolution, I accept it as mainstream valid science.
So you say.

I accept the science which is growing.

I don’t accept how the science is shoved into an evolutionary mythos.

In contrast to that belief system, I understand Human beings as having not evolved from a premordial soup.
We are a new creation making use of the same sort of infomation required for other organic life forms.
We descended from other human beings originating with Adam.
Adam would have had a genome free of genetic abnormalities.
That genome would have permitted the diversification that we see among us today.
In addition to this, in time random physical factors have altered that original configuration and brought about genetic abnormalities.

As science discovers ever increasing complexity in the human genome, evolution did not have the time to do it. It is now in the “not enough time” category.

The full story:

"In the book, Benedict reflected on a 1996 comment of his predecessor, John Paul II, who said that Charles Darwin’s theories on evolution were sound, as long as they took into account that creation was the work of God, and that Darwin’s theory of evolution was “more than a hypothesis.”

“The pope (John Paul) had his reasons for saying this,” Benedict said. “But it is also true that the theory of evolution is not a complete, scientifically proven theory.”

Benedict added that the immense time span that evolution covers made it impossible to conduct experiments in a controlled environment to finally verify or disprove the theory.

“We cannot haul 10,000 generations into the laboratory,” he said."

Please do not falsely accuse others.

I seriously don’t know how to combat such scientific ignorance.
There are an infinite number of things I don’t know, and you have to man enough to keep your mouth shut when you don’t know what you’re talking about.
You just have to let it be, and let scientists, many of whom are faithful Catholics, do their job.

The next time you see protestors outside of science labs, let me know. I sure won’t be stopping anybody from doing their jobs. And I will continue to write against atheist ideas.

“man enough to keep your mouth shut” Who died and appointed you to the head of Thought Police?
