Will "Altar Girls" lead to Women Priests?

Jack…that was not my meaning. I am not a grandmother…yet. My mother was a sahm, however in the economy my chidren grew up in and in this current economy… I was not. I worked outside the home.

How does it affect me? Ok…I was “responding” to the post about the “remark” that “women are in service to men” and to “bear children”.

My comment was “the bearing children part is over”…soooooo…in asking the poster…“what do I do, now?”

Marriage is a Sacrament. We make vows before God and God binds these vows for eternity.

Our vows were to unite fully and give ourself to the other. As a Catholic family we are to be open to life and this to me means bearing children.

It seems common sense that the wife is the best person for bearing children. I also think women do better raising children.

I fail to see a problem with this arrangment. I also highly respect women that do bear and raise children because they are accomplishing a very difficult job with a great responsibility.

To work instead of raising your own children is to take the easy route. Going to work and workingg for someone else is easy compared to a mother taking care of children and the household. Much much easier.

The economy still doesn’t change what God’s foundation for the world is…and that is for women to be subordinate to their husbands and for husbands to be the head of the household…likewise in Church matters, men are the leaders and can serve as priest and bishops…women can be nuns and serve in an auxilarry capacity…just because the “economy” has forced you to break out of your traditional role at home as you claim…it certainly doesn’t give feminists the right to try to use that excuse to destroy the hierarchy of The Church. Bella Dodd is seeming more and more like a prophet the more I read posts from people like you.

Maybe one day you will realize that Jesus didn’t treat women like dirt and neither should you. It’s not about “altar girls” on here anymore (although that’s what the OP was), it’s about the fact the some men just hate women and are using this particular thread to spew forth their aniomosity! You and another “Latin” screen name hide behind the guise of “Traditional Catholicism” to post rants about women that could rival something a fundamentalist Muslim would be proud of!

I would sincerely hope you would take a few days away from posting here and spend that time in prayer, asking Our Lord how He would treat women…or you can read the 4 Gospels and find out yourself.

I have read your posts all the way back to 2004. However, I am not one to run to the mods whining about someone I disagree with or who disagrees with me…YOU have the right to your opinion and expression of thought. As for the apology, it is not warranted.

One thing I am sure of is that in the world today we are saying evils are good.

“Gay pride MONTH!” - A whole month to be proud of EVIL.

“Abortion” - legalized murder of babies in the womb at a rate of 1,000,000 a year. We legally kill off a 1/3 of our population!!!

I think we are far worse than Sodom and Gomorrah.

And instead of “Freedom of Religion” we have “Freedom FROM Religion” in the USA.

No, Samantha…I think it’s a formally banned person…just take the underscores off and do an advanced search…and the other is just happy to have someone agree with him/her.

I’m not going to say anything to the mods…because I believe they really believe these things in the heart…I disagree…and they should have their say.

You can only have one account per email, so they would have had to use a different email address and set up a new account. There really isn’t a way to check it…Changing an IP address is as simple as logging on to the internet…especially if one still uses dial-up. All we can do is hope the moderators have had enough with the women-bashing and close this thread down.

To speak back on topic…

The Catholic Church will NEVER have female Priests or Deacons.

We had an Apolstolic letter given by JPII stating we cannot change what Jesus made. He also said we need not ask any further and it is not open to debate.

As to altar girls…

I think this causes harm to the church because people will conceive the notion that females can and should be Deacons and Priests. I also see harm because it pushes boys away from the altar who may be called to be a Deacon or Priest.

On a side note I think our Church needs more Deacons and Priests and especially Nuns. The Church used to have somehting like 5 or 10 times as many Nuns as Deacons and Priests. These Nuns were a great work force for humanity. Now we see so few being ordained as Deacon or Priest and Nuns seem to be disappearing.

I see no harm getting back to our grass roots.

Seems that way. But in the New Mass they also brag about how many more Readings there are, and quite a few of them are St. Paul’s epistles. And then it turns out that a reading such as “women should be quiet in churches” is given by a woman herself. Incredible.

I opened and moderated a “yahoo group” for a while that was related to my major in college (uh-oh…a women with more than an 8th grade education) and I would have trolls and spammers joining with new accounts all the time. Too bad that mentality exists here, too. At least no one’s posted an ad for discount meds from a Canadian pharmacy on here, yet

What women do not understand is that men cultivate misogyny for the sake of women.

If a man does not he would never leave the boyhood stage and would treat all women like a mother, is that what women want a bunch of men acting like little boys? Is that even good for women? No it is not.

A man must give up the state of boyhood, in which he is protected by women, fed by women and cared for by women, so that he may himself become a protector and provider for women and children.

In other words he must give up been mothered before he can become a father. He must reject the feminine and cultivate a distance between himself and the world of women so that he can one day return to it not as a recipient, but as a giver.

But how can a man separate himself from the world of women and complete his journey into manhood when he lives in a woman’s world and there is nowhere else to go?

Women decry the lack of good men, but it is women forcing themselves on men in every aspect of society and thus denying men the space they need separate from women to fully develop that is the cause of the childish men women themselves complain about.

You are your own worst enemies and the more you fight for your “rights” and the more you invade what was previously considered man’s place on the world the more harm you do to yourselves and the whole of society.
