I didn’t go back to that person and say - Now show me the New Testament. (Really, give me a break.) I’m not going to keep responding to you until you find an answer you like.

Ok - your last three questions above:
Catholics worship Mary? My response: Yes, my family and friends do it - their words not mine. Do all Catholics worship Mary - no - you told me you don’t.

Catholics commit idolatry? Same answer as above - yes some do - some don’t.

We cannot ask Mary and the saints to pray for us? You do - my friends and family do. I’m not sure what that’s going to get for you. I don’t - I pray to Jesus. He hears me. I don’t need to pray to Mary or the Saints.

Does that answer your questions?

Ya know now matter what I do or what I say you will always find falt with it, even if its the truth. I do commend the priests for all the work they do which I never denied. It was a simple question and a simple statement about where I live. But I guess nobody understands that I said “not where I live” which has nothing to do with anyplace eles. I have never said anything nasty about the Catholic religion itself, I just disagree with some of the teachings and some of their ways. rev I do not think we need to talk just now, I think we need time to claim down and I do not need you to blow your top like you did 2 or 3 mouthago you remember to start with your crying like a baby and blame all on some one else in fact you was as mad you left the board and you was so nice I was thinking I was taking to Mother Teases but as usual you had some one to blame,me the priest,May be being a Baptist and ND is just to much for little old rev

Agreed, the evidence and result do support the Catholic Church being the Original Christian church. However, this point directly was not the question. The question was, will a person (I) go to hell for leaving the one true church? Well, will we go to hell not being a member of the one true Catholic church? I’m willing to bet no will say that or maybe I’m wrong. Answer, those who profess to be Catholic. Others and myself wish to know whether Catholics are willing to give a defineate yes or no answer for this.

You don’t really expect a Yes" or “No” answer to that question do you?

No human being of any religion can give a definite answer. Only God, Himself can judge who is going to heaven or hell.

You are 2 faced you e-mail me and talk nice. You have just proved what I said, attack Rev. put him down by saying 'Your crying like a baby and blame all on some one eles."
Why are you blaming me for the priest not doing their job, Why is it my responsability see that they do their job. You are so concerned about my job and putting me down for doing the job but heaven for bid you say anything about the priests not doing their job. What is so offensive about pointing that out, you sure have no problem pointing things our about me. Is it against you faith to say the truth about what the priests not doing their job where I live. Then you say maybe being a Baptist and ND is just to much for little old rev. Are you that upset that someone pointed out a falt about the priests that you have to attack my religion and make fun of me by calling me little old rev… This is not crying its speaking the truth. I do something that your priests here don’t and I get punished for it. I get put down, called names, by you for doing the work of God. Its all my falt. I can’t believe I’m being told its my falt for the priest not going to he nursing homes. I want you to tell me how its my falt and how I am putting the blame on someone eles. If you don’t do your job is that the falt of someone eles or is it your falt. Who do you blame for your actions.

Protestants seperate ourselves from virgin Mary and the communion of saints? I don’t think so. I believe in the immaculate conception of Jesus. I believe that great men and women did saintly acts. I (and almost all the Protestents I know - but I haven’t asked everyone so who knows there may be a few who don’t agree) read and reflect on their acts while they were alive. Wonderful, fantastic people! I do not pray to them for gifts or to intercede on my behalf with the Lord (as I see done here where I live) but I do suppose I “venerate” them since I treat their memory with honor. As I am doing here. There is no disrespect with anything I’m saying about them here - like I said - they were wonderful people!

Thanks for sharing your opinion. I hope what I wrote may clarify my thoughts.

NO, Not all Cathloic will go to hell and not all prostestants will go to hell.

Ronin67 - I’ve run this post past some of my Catholic friends (and a few Protestant pastors) here where I live and some of the exchange here is unkind - folks trying to make their points in a limitted setting. Online forums do not give us a true picture of our hearts for God - just little fleeting exchanges of ideas that don’t get the chance to be fully expressed. Words are read and emotions are put to those words by the reader, whether or not the writer meant those emotions.

I think an answer to this thread would be allow individuals (Catholic and Protestant to respond to the poster Francispie with their one word answer (yes or no) and why they think that - and we should allow our answers to stand without trying to shoot each other down. Francispie asked in the Non-Catholic Religion subgroup so he or she is seeking an answer from everyone - not Catholics alone. If Francispie wanted to know only from a Catholic person - I’m sure he or she would have or already has spoken to his or her church leader.

Thanks for your posting - I think it was very good to mention the original reason for this thread. My own opinion was expressed a while back in this thread so I need not repeat it here. I only hope Francispie wasn’t scared off by some of what was written here. (I include me in that phrase folks so I’m not pointing fingers.)

rev Dont you think its about time you stop with your crying we all know you are a saint and you do nothing wrong and you get blame for all the poeblen of the world. I like to have a penny each time you tell us you are handicapped,you are not the only person that is handicapped and stop telling us all you do,its time you stop blowing you horn. we all know you have a title the rev I do not know what is worth but it is your so just enjoy,did you not get a title for being a baptist…How many years in school did you go to get your rev

He says that I blame someone eles. I’m being blamed because the Priests where I live don’t go the the nursing homes. Like it my falt.
I’m blaming the Priests for not doing their job. I’m not to blame for it.
then he says maybe being a Baptise and a ND is just to much for “little old Rev.” Its a personal slam but nobody says anything to him about it.
All I did was ask a question about the Priests not going to the nursing homes where I live. This got turned into meaning all Priests, which I never said. I said where I live, then I said I wonder why? asking a question. Then I have been calle critical and judgmental because of this question. I explained it and it just got worse from there. Bill asked me a series of questions like "do you think Priests need to be on call 24/7. Then he askes, knowing I’m Baptist, how many Priests do I have at my church. I responded “0.” Then he goes on saying if my Pastor don’t go to your church each week then I’m not doing my job. This is blaming me for someone eles doings not my doings. Then he says that the Priests not being at my nursing home it my falt, he said, “Its on you brother.” Once again I get blamed for someones eles actions. Then he goes on about me not doing my job. It then goes back and forth about blaming me for the Priests not going to the nursing homes where I live. Then finally I had enough of being blamed for something that others are not doing. Now I’m the one who is blamed for the Priests doings. As a matter of fact I said that I commend the Priests for all the work they do which I never denied. But I’m the one saying all the Priests are not doing their job, which I never said. I’m tired of getting the blame for it.

This has gone to far and is getting personal. I don’t know what got into you but you have done a 360 degree turn. I don’t understand how the priests not going to the nursing homes is blaming someone eles. Now you have to attack me being handycap but it don’t bother me at least I don’t belittle someone for a disability but I guess it makes you feel big to do that so big man go ahead. I know I’m not the only one that is handycap, I can name another one here. I don’t blow my horn about being a Reverend its my title. I don’t ever recall saying I’m a Reverend here me roar. I never used it my title in such a manner I go by rev.kevin I don’t think thats blowing my horn. You seem to blow it for me by asking me all kind of questions about it. It may not be worth it to you but it is to me. As far as the Baptist titles, look it up yourself I don’t want to blow my horn about that or about how many years I went to school to get my Reverend title. If I do you will use it against me by saying, there he goes again blowing his horn.

I,m done with this fight I’m not in high school. If you want to continue with this and try to make me look bad go ahead but I will not respond anymore the such immature actions anymore.
 
You are correct and I appoligize for my actions not just to you but to everyone here. It got way out of hand over a misunderstanding. Once again sorry for the imamture actions on my part.
 
Wow is this what goes on? I can’t believe the way people talk to eachother. I’m new and I hope this is joking aroud. But for some reason I doubt it.
