But, men who commit adultery typically commit with many, many women. Women are less likely to have multiple partners. So for every man, there is likely many more women.

Not sure God is counting…if one commits a mortal sin with one or many, the person needs to ask for forgiveness. Sexual sins are not the only sins that can keep us from heaven…there are a plethera of sins that can even be considered ‘graver’ and are not sexual, that women can land into. Again, I’m not one for speculating who will be up in heaven…I just pray that my family and I will be there! (oh and all of my CAF pals)

**Yes–I have read that. I think that in our human capacity, we have a shorter fuse sadly than God…(or thankfully?) lol God, is all merciful and we simply don’t know a person’s heart. At his/her final hour on this earth, he/she can ask for forgiveness with a contrite heart, and be able to live in eternity with God. It is astonishing for us to grasp, but that is the Truth. Remember the thief by Christ’s side…we just never know.

We can tell if someone is going to heaven or hell currently, but there is certain circumstance, we may not have the complete picture, but we can tell.

I think that we can tell when someone is sinning, but not every sin even if it appears grave, is considered mortal. As we both know, there are three factors, not just the outward appearance of gravity, that would cost someone salvation. And even then–it is still God’s mercy that overpowers any sin. Jesus blood shed for us all, overpowers any sin we can ever commit, so again, to speculate, we just can’t do so based on the outward appearance of gravity alone. Maybe I should have said it that way to begin with–lol.

Is it likely or possible that more woman will make it to heaven than men?

(I know that when we get to heaven, gender will be irrelevant; essentially there won’t be a thing such as gender, but you know what I’m asking.)

I raise this question because in my experience going to daily Mass, and even days of obligation, woman tend to outnumber men. As a general rule, they seem more devout, more pure, and more sincere. I think this reality is magnified in other cultures, though it seems to apply to most of the the North American Catholic Church. Even in Protestant circles woman generally outnumber men, and live more virtuous lives.

I tend to believe that God has graced females with a greater inclination towards holiness and love. I’m not sure how or if this factors into the question.

I hate to be a nitpicker, but the proper plural form of the noun woman is *women. *It’s really annoying to see errors like that used repeatedly, especially in the title of the thread. That grabbed my attention moreso than the subject matter. Why hasn’t admin corrected it?

But, to answer on the subject matter, I see exactly what you mean. My priest at my college always noticed more women at daily Mass than men.

actually, the Greek word anthropos is not necessarily gender specific. It was meant to mean man as in specifically male, aner would have been used. It’s just like in Latin, homo is not gender specific (like in the Creed, “…for us men…”) but vir means specifically a male person.

If they were Catholic parish churches, what is the age range of the men?
Are they mostly single?
Please send church names and locations and mass times, my roommate and I would like to meet some devout Catholic men

Most of us have made grammar mistakes on CAF. This is not my first, and I doubt it will be my last.

I don’t know if more women will get into heaven but I do know men will get there first. revalation-there was silence in heaven for about half an hour:
