That’s what the sacrament of reconciliation is for.
Tis_Bearsewlf,He’s not unforgiving. We do the best we can and we trust entirely in God’s mercy as St. Therese and St. Faustina said.
Joeybaggz,"God, I know this action I wish to indulge in (adultery, murder, rape, robbery, theft, blasphemy, idolatry - pick your favorite) is something that gravely offends you.
At face value yes, but I’m applying the teachings on baptism to confession.Elf01
Your opinion is contrary to Catholic teaching
CCC #12611261 As regards children who have died without Baptism, the Church can only entrust them to the mercy of God, as she does in her funeral rites for them. Indeed, the great mercy of God who desires that all men should be saved, and Jesus’ tenderness toward children which caused him to say: “Let the children come to me, do not hinder them,” allow us to hope that there is a way of salvation for children who have died without Baptism. All the more urgent is the Church’s call not to prevent little children coming to Christ through the gift of holy Baptism.
Note sacraments is plural here so it may not apply only to baptism.God has bound salvation to the sacrament of Baptism, but he himself is not bound by his sacraments.
CCC #1257The Church does not know of any means other than Baptism that assures entry into eternal beatitude; this is why she takes care not to neglect the mission she has received from the Lord to see that all who can be baptized are "reborn of water and the Spirit
Simonjosiah1sixty thousand people arrived at the same time from all parts of the world; out of that number, three were saved by going to Purgatory, and all the rest were damned.’
Thus God can save whoever he wants to. If he does not save some, then he is not good, merciful and loving.God is all powerful.

God provided the Way for us to be saved. His Name is JESUS. It is our responsibility to accept or reject Him, to obey or disobey Him. Our free will choice determines where we spend eternity. God will NEVER force His Will on us. If He did, THAT, imo, would mean He was not merciful or loving. He would be a tyrant. And God, our Loving Father is no tyrant. He is all loving, all merciful, all good.NoelFitz:![]()

I agree with you.
We DID NOT create ourselves, we are the way God created us.
It is God’s responsibility to save His creations.
It is not enough that God gives us free will, God obliged to give His creations the proper knowledge which controls the free will properly.
Life everlasting promised to us, (Romans 5:21); but unaided we can do nothing to gain it (Rom.7:18-24).

God gave us EVERYTHING we need to know for our salvation. We know when we slip up and how to get back sanctifying grace through Confession. If we choose to reject God’s love that is on us not God.It is not enough that God gives us free will, God obliged to give His creations the proper knowledge which controls the free will properly.

What is Godly power? How do you know what it is, and how is it exercised by God? What is the relationship (hint hint) between God’s omnipotence and God’s love?Lilypadrees,
Thanks for your reply, but it is difficult to understand.
You point out we have free will.
On one side we have God, who is almighty and wants to save us, on the other
side we are there with our evil inclinations, made by God. Which is more
powerful?
If we choose hell we are. Even the mafia can make us an offer we cannot
refuse, but God cannot. Advertisers can convince us to get brand X, but God
cannot convince us to do the good.
Which is more powerful God’s grace, will, providence, love or the devil
with his guiles and ourselves with our weaknesses? It seems God is often
the weaker.
