Will not vote for Trump, but no pro-life Democrats?

Trump appointed two prolife justices. Obama appointed two pro-abortion justices. What’s your problem with voting prolife?

I personally made 40k more in 2018, than I did in 2016. I made 35k more in 2017. Maybe you’re just in the wrong industry?
If everyone stampedes to “the right industry,” how does the work in the “wrong” but necessary industries get done? Why is it OK for somebody who is working to get left holding the bag? (Not that you personally are saying that it is.)

Having said that, I recognize that there is a limit to what the President of the United States can do in the realm of economic justice. If the populace doesn’t make it a priority to see that anyone with a full-time job can afford a roof over their heads, regular meals and access to medical care when they have a serious health problem, I don’t think the political parties are automatically to blame for that. (They’re culpable when they say false things to confirm unjust biases in voters, but not everyone in politics does that.)

I often wonder how many abortions he’s paid for over the past 40 years.
I often wonder if statements like this could be bearing false witness against others, could be gossip or other things.

You have nothing but hearsay. It probably would have come out by now, if there was something to such ideas.
It’s not even hearsay. It’s just in my own head. I’ll suppose I’ll just keep it there. But it’s not going to go away.

That’s where you and other posters err. I explicitly said I will not vote pro choice. I also said I will not vote Trump. If there is no other alternative then I’ll have a dilemma. You and others really need to stop with the “if you’re not on the Trump bandwagon, you’re killing babies” narrative. You’re smarter than that.

That’s the problem. I cannot and there’s nothing out there that really interests me to do. I work three days in a row (because of I have my kids for three nights and four days) 13 hour shifts. From 7am till 8pm or longer. I cannot go to school on those days.

I would love to go to a career school, but they are five days a week and no night classes. I have to work full-time to support myself and my kids.

I believe he was a Democrat at one time in his life, in which case he would have advocated paying for a lot of abortions or at least caused other taxpayers to pay for them. Otherwise, there’s no reason to think he ever did.

Most people think I make more than $20 an hour because I am an EMT. They are shocked to find out I only make $12.18 an hour and feel I should be paid alot more than that.

It’s not a matter of Trump. It’s a matter of opposing abortion. Either one opposes it, supports it or stands on the sidelines without lifting a finger to stop it.

I might go to hell for any number of reasons, but failing to oppose abortion won’t be one of them.

The problem is the two party system and the brainwashed Americans that think their vote doesn’t count and that they MUST vote for one or the other.

If this thinking were not so prevailent we would have a vibrant third party candidate that could possibly have ideologies and morals that we all long for in a candidate.

Until the ‘your vote doesn’t count crowd’ ceases I’m afraid this is what we are stuck with. I for one will not vote for either party I will be looking at the other candidates that nobody thinks will win and that are closer in line with my ideologies and morals.

Mr. Trump went onto a radio show and said this of sexually-transmitted diseases: "“I’ve been so lucky in terms of that whole world. It is a dangerous world out there. It’s scary, like Vietnam. Sort of like the Vietnam-era. It is my personal Vietnam. I feel like a great and very brave soldier.”

This is not a man who is a “great and very brave soldier” in defense of the Christian attitude towards women and marriage. Is it possible he has never helped anyone procure an abortion nor fathered any children out of wedlock? It is possible. No one should presume he has paid for an abortion. He has made it a matter of self-promotion, however, to brag about keeping up a habit of using women for his own gratification. Even if he made up every bit of it to brag, that is promoting exactly the kind of habits that lead to children raised without their fathers, broken marriages and abortions.

Trump won the “Tree of Life” award decades ago from Israeli charitable organizations. You don’t get that from being an immoral person. He’s under attack a lot.

@PetraG

One can find problems with almost anyone.

He also funded a veterans march. A lot of that is far into the past or was for showbiz’s sake.

Absolutely not because I will not be voting for a candidate that is not pro life. I’m not going to fall in to the two party trap. It’s sad really.

Actually, he didn’t. You should listen to the audio again. He never said he actually did it. He said if one is famous one could.

Nothing wrong at all with voting for a third party candidate. Your vote should be earned, not just taken for granted because they assume you’ll vote for the lesser of two evils.

Sadder still is the person who would watch a child being strangled and do nothing notwithstanding that he/she could. That’s what this is. It’s not a parlor game.

I used to think that way too.

I am still listed as no party affiliation. However, I have also learned that a vote for someone who has no chance of winning doesn’t help the person that is the lesser problem of the two that could win.

I’m a third party guy.

I don’t like the way the Republicans are, in my opinion: overly business friendly and too lax on the environment. There are other issues too.

The Dems are a complete washout because frankly they’ve lost their minds with abortion.

So I go third party. I satisfy what I consider my moral obligation to vote, and don’t do any damage.
