Related to the OP question, but my guess is that heaven has more similarities with our life on earth than we suspect. It will have some sort of material aspect, since our bodies will be material things. We will have work to do, just no toil. Work was not a result of the fall, toil was. There will be no hunger, but perhaps our bodies will still require food to function. We will all work, in harmony and joy, in providing the needs of society, all under the Beatific vision. We will still serve God, not just sit around. We were not created to just sit around being perfectly happy. We were created to be know, love, and serve God. Why should that end at our death. Will it not be brought to a full fruition at death. Will there be many houses in heaven? yes. Perhaps we will all build them. Will there be leisure in heaven? Perhaps this is the one thing that will be missing. We will not need it, we will not want it. Perhaps we only need leisure now in order to alleviate our toil (which will be missing). Everything will have a purpose. Everything we do will have a purpose, and we will recognize that purpose.
All just speculating.
