Will we poop in Heaven?

On the new earth joined to the new heaven after the final judgment, animals will be cherished, not slaughtered.

I had an Angel for a while. I had to buy wee wee pads for her because she started to become confused after leaving the kennel. So, rain might be Angel peeing.

Marry vs. given in marriage:

I.e., nobody gets married in the next life, nor do those who were married in human life resume their marriages.

Marriage, while a good in itself, is “until death ye do part.” It is not carried over to the pneumatikon soma, possibly because those bodies do not reproduce.

As I said before, I didn’t say I thought there would be sex in heaven. I don’t know. I was merely questioning the fact that people associate that statement quoted* to mean more than it does*, I.E:** It doesn’t specify or specifically say anything other than people won’t be given in marriage or marry.**. which I’ve come to find out those deliniations and that whole phrase mean that its not a business contract type stuff like that we have here on earth. Back then, marriage was more of a business contract… That’s the purpose of the two delineations… because women were given in marriage and men just married - meaning they would find a suitable wife to help him on his journey in life and marry that woman.

If people are in heaven, and there is no sin in heaven, and all of the people in heaven are holy, therefore whatever they’d do would be holy. ******Sex is not evil. ****** People in holy marriages have sex and its not at all evil. What if you were married and were devout and holy person and you enjoyed making love to your spouse… you mean to say that in heaven you won’t get to do that anymore? I think not!!! ““What God has joined, let no man put asunder.”” … then why would God put something asunder that He has joined?

There is also the fact that in Holy Scripture, God refers to Himself as the Husband of His People. The language in Scripture describes the union of God’s people and God very much like the union between man and wife. I know its meant as a metaphor, but its just something to consider.
““What God has joined, let no man put asunder.”” … then why would God put something asunder that He has joined?"

You forgot the part that says " till death do us part." Jesus said we will be like the angels. End of story!

Why is it illogical to wonder if souls in their glorified bodies will poop? Jesus ate in His glorified body, why would I necessarily think that the food was consumed in His body 100%? Jesus ate in front of the Apostles and allowed them to touch Him exactly so they can witness that it was His human body that was raised.

We are human beings and we have been designed in a certain way. Yes, those who make it to heaven will receive their bodies glorified but what makes you so sure it will not have similar functions as it has now? Jesus used His mouth to speak and His eyes to see and His ears to Hear… and He ate fish.
You answered it yourself…Jesus had a “glorified” body. Just think how stupid it would be for God to make your life in Heaven include taking a bathroom break!

Heaven is supposed to be Perfect Happiness…One of the main things I’m looking forward to is not having to sit on the bowl for a half hour every morning!

After Judgement Day, the souls that make it to heaven will have glorified bodies.

It could be that all the internal parts will be there as historical ancient stuff that would be outdated. 🤷

I don’t know which is harder to believe: That this thread exists? OR That it has made it through four pages of conversation?

I think somebody’s stuck in the Freudian anal stage.

This thread exists & continues because some people don’t listen to a common sense answer…and others enjoy the silly remarks!

I’m here for both reasons. 😛

In all seriousness, though, I don’t discount it as a theological question. If we look behind the scatological trappings of the original question, it is really a question about how our glorified bodies will be different from our current bodies. That’s not a question we can necessarily answer with certainty, but I think it is interesting to think about as it speaks to our ultimate destiny.

Scatological Eschatology. 😛 :o There’s a doctoral dissertation waiting to be written. 😃

It would be awesome to have an A&P cliff notes for our spiritual body… But I am sure there’s a very good reason such is not to be had.

The A&P had good coffee…too bad they’re out of business.

I confess I am also. 😛

It’s true.

I think it is a very interesting question because it necessarily raises the question about the value of the functions of our human body. I mean, I will admit, I got a couple of good laughs from this thread, but the implications of the question and the possible answer/s have theological importance.

If people cannot handle the topic, well, there are plenty of other threads. But, for those who find the theological question interesting and have the maturity to enjoy some smiles along the way in the discussion - join in.

What I consider is the fact that Our Lord Jesus after walking through the door without a problem, allowed the Apostles to touch Him and He ate fish with them. This He did to demonstrate to them that He was not a ghost but was indeed resurrected in His HUMAN body. The point the apostles wondered was important and Our Lord appreciated the question and took the time to demonstrate to them that He could be touched and He could eat. So, it was a HUMAN BODY that was resurrected.

Why is it important to demonstrated and prove that it was a human body that was resurrected?

If Jesus could walk through a door in His resurrected Human body…why couldn’t the food He ate be absorbed without having to eliminate waste? Same with us in heaven.

I know it can seem like a silly question, but I think it is sort of an interesting theological thing to ponder. 🙂

Of course, ultimately we do not know. However, as our lower bodily functions are tied to waste removal, I imagine our glorified bodies will work perfectly and thus be able to use everything that we eat without producing waste. That’s somewhat similar to newborns who are exclusively breastfed. They can go a long time without a bowel movement simply because there is very little waste in what they are consuming.
Exactly my thought. I could not have said it better.
