I wish criminal cases stayed away from the media, or rather the media stayed away from criminal cases. Look how many innocent white people (and I’m not playing the race card here but making a valid point) have been targeted by african american vigilantes as retaliation for trayvon martin. The more evidence that comes out (seemingly) the more it looks like george was not racially motivated for his involvement in the shooting death of mr. martin. But because of the media hype and spreading of misinformation every chance it gets, poorly misguided and severely fallen people like al sharpton and jesse jackson can come on tv with their suits and stand there with their face and preach all kinds of outrage over the racism in america and blah blah blah. This kind of response only promotes racial retaliation thus bringing tensions flaring. While I don’t believe a race war would ever happen, its instances like these that bring that improbability into the possibility range. Prayer all around is needed.

He has a habit of inappropriate and criminal aggressive behavior towards others that makes his story that Trayvon Martin attacked him instead of the other way around very difficult to believe. In addition, she is his own flesh and blood, and she disagrees with the witnesses mentioned in the first post with regards to their opinions on his attitudes about race.
I’ll be more interested in physical evidence and testimony relevant to the case. All of this one-sided demonization is not particularly informative.

It has no place in a civil society…but what am I thinking. Half the people in this country want the government to rob the other half of what they have and give it to them. Civility died years ago.

Oh good Lord, who cares… 🤷 He was 8 years old, for GOd’s sake. Imagine if someone tried to hold you accountable now for you picking your nose when you were 8 and smearing it on their rear view mirror. This story sinks to the depths of media stupidity.
Not just media… 😉

I missed where this proves he murdered Trayvon, based on the prosecution. Can you highlight the evidence?

Alan Dersowitz has lambasted the prosecutor for lying in the charging statement, not fully disclosing evidence, and not even making the case that this should be murder 2.
Exactly. A murder 2 charge will never stick.
I think Zimmerman is guilty as hell but even I think he’s guilty of manslaughter not murder.

The whole racist/not-racist issue is beside the point, Z decided based on appearance that that Martin was a bad guy.

Maybe that when confronted by a hostile Zimmerman, Martin “stood his ground” and defended himself. Or does no one he consider that possible?

The big problem with SYG is that the police take the killer’s word and the investigation stops. There needs to be a full interrogation & investigation and the matter needs to go to the grand jury.

You are calling the truth demonization because you don’t like it.

It happened from when she was 6 to 16. Why shouldn’t the media cover the case? Because it exposes Zimmerman’s moral character?
The woman said the abuse occurred when her family visited with Zimmerman’s. “Every time that we would go up there, I could just look at him and he would give me a certain look and I would know if it was going to happen when we got together for family gatherings. Because he just got this look in his eye like he was going to.”
Referring to Zimmerman as “Georgie,” she said “he just sucked up to my dad. He was like the son he never had. And he always was just, you know, very charming and personable with everybody in the family, and just always would laugh and entertain everybody. But he was different behind closed doors with me.” cnn.com/2012/07/16/justice/florida-teen-shooting-witness/index.html

The Sanford police let Zimmerman off without a full investigation after he gunned a man down. In fact, the Sheriff hid Zimmerman in his home, showing favoritism: the practice of giving unfair preferential treatment to one person or group at the expense of another. If Sharpton had not brought this case to the media, Zimmerman would never have been investigated and Trayvon Martin would have been treated as if his life was worth nothing. As didymus posted, there needs to be a full investigation.

It is confusing why anyone who says they are pro-life cares nothing about the moral rightness or wrongness of Zimmerman’s decision to take Trayvon Martin’s life. If someone can shoot another innocent person just because they want to, why can’t someone murder an unborn baby just because they want to? Abortion advocates also argue that abortion is “self-defense” against the child, but the Church says that the mother’s life has to actually be verifiably in danger before that can be true.

In an interview with FBI agents in March, investigator Chris Serino told authorities he “believed that Zimmerman’s actions were not based on Martin’s skin color,** rather based on his attire**, the total circumstances of the encounter and the previous burglary suspects in the community,” according to an FBI report.

In his interview, Serino explained to the FBI agents that African-American gangs in the community “typically dressed in black and wore hoodies,” the report said.

“Serino believes that when Zimmerman saw Martin in a hoody (sic), Zimmerman took it upon himself to view Martin as acting suspicious,”
This just makes me sick
I never ever thought I would have to admit
Geraldo, You were Right about the Hoodie!

Uhhh, whose house did the “Shriff hide Zimmerman”?

What proof do you have of “favoritism”? I’m guessing “none”.

BTW, there was an investigation, and as this show trial will show, charges should have never been brought.

Why on earth you accuse others about “caring nothing about the moral rightness” about this shooting. No one thinks shooting an unarmed person is a good thing ("just because they want to???).

Seems like a bare assertion fallacy on your part.

If you have an example of a fetus banging the mother’s head into concrete, or breaking their nose, let us know.

Actually, the police did their due diligence, determined it was a self defense shooting, presented the evidence to the DA, and charges were not pursued.
In fact, the Sheriff hid Zimmerman in his home, showing favoritism: the practice of giving unfair preferential treatment to one person or group at the expense of another.
Really? I have not seen any evidence of this.
Where? When? What is your source for this information?

Agreed. If Sharpton had not decided to publicize this, it would not have been brought to such national attention.
It would have been simply another case of self defense.
There does need to be a full investigation. They need to investigate Sharpton, etc. for the misinformation put forward that is causing such problems.
It is confusing why anyone who says they are pro-life cares nothing about the moral rightness or wrongness of Zimmerman’s decision to take Trayvon Martin’s life.
People know the right thing to do. They complicate things when they do not want to do it.
There is really nothing here to be confused about.
The man’s life was in imminent danger, he fired his weapon.

Indeed.
The evidence thus far indicates that George was on the receiving end of a beating.
It is reasonable to conclude he believed his life in danger.
There is no comparison to abortion.
Abortion is the deliberate termination of an innocent life.
We have not sufficient evidence to determine this to be the case.

Zimmerman’s Police Inside Connection Has Been Revealed: A Former Cop Coached Him on What to Say
The public has often wondered how George Zimmerman was able to escape prosecution for his crimes in the past. There seemed to be a connection that he had inside the Sanford police department that kept him safe from the consequences of his poor choices. Some thought that it was his father, the retired judge. It turns out that it may be deeper than that.
Zimmerman, who shot Trayvon Martin after seeing him to be a suspicious looking black male, was allowed to evade arrest and remain free for 44 days after the initial incident. New evidence is showing that the early decision not to charge Zimmerman was the result of scripted coaching he received from someone inside the Sanford Police Department.
Documents from the FBI and Florida Department of Law Enforcement are claiming that a strong Zimmerman supporter throughout the case might have been Mark Osterman, a federal agent and former Seminole County Sheriff’s deputy. Osterman was with Zimmerman as they returned to the scnee of the crime to determine what happened on the previous day.**
The Herald has reported that Zimmerman and Osterman often went shooting together, and that Zimmerman even hid in Osterman’s house as the publicity from the case shot through the national media.**
Previously, some had wondered if Zimmerman was getting inside help from Seminole State Attorney Norm Wolfinger, who released Zimmerman initially. Wolfinger was removed from the case when a special prosecutor was assigned to handle the rest of the process.
There was also an interesting email between between Zimmerman and former Sanford Police Chief Bill Lee. The two exchanged pleasantries about a case in which a homeless black man was beaten by the son of a police lieutenant. The lieutenant’s son was never charged for the beating.
“Zimmerman is very concerned with all the negative reaction from the press and others and wants more evidence released to show what really happened,” Osterman told the FBI.
Of course, Osterman is denying that he ever gave Zimmerman advice. But we didn’t exactly expect a confession. kulturekritic.com/2012/07…n-what-to-say/
BTW, there was an investigation, and as this show trial will show, charges should have never been brought. Trayvon Martin’s parents and the world deserves to know if Zimmerman should receive charges. Have you ever heard about criminally manslaughter and the extent to which “provocation” plays a role? It is NOT clear why Zimmerman should not receive those charges so let’s let there be a fair trial to make the decision.
There certainly was not! They didn’t even bother to interview Trayvon Martin’s girlfriend, whose objective cell phone records contradict all of Zimmerman’s statements.
Why on earth you accuse others about “caring nothing about the moral rightness” about this shooting. No one thinks shooting an unarmed person is a good thing ("just because they want to???).
Seems like a bare assertion fallacy on your part.
There are a lot of people who seem to think Trayvon Martin was a no good thug who deserved to be shot and the real crime is that people, such as Sharpton, actually care about the exact circumstances of the death and want a fair investigation. Just look at how Michelle Malkin used a fake photo of Trayvon Martin to depict him as a thug. See the post above where the person wants a full investigation of Sharpton but not Zimmerman.

If you have an example of a fetus banging the mother’s head into concrete, or breaking their nose, let us know.
Can you give me some proof that this happened?

Vikki Stella, a diabetic, discovered during her 32nd week of pregnancy that the fetus she
was carrying suffered from several major anomalies and had no chance of survival. Because
of Vikki’s diabetes, her doctor determined that induced labor and Caesarian section were
both riskier procedures for Vikki than an abortion. The procedure not only protected Vikki
from immediate medical risks, but also ensured that she would be able to have children in
the future.

Jennifer Peterson was 35 and pregnant when she discovered a lump in her breast. Tests
showed she had invasive breast cancer.21 The cancer and its treatment, separate and apart
from the pregnancy, were a threat to her health. A health exception recognizes the added
threat to her health posed by pregnancy during the onset and treatment of her cancer, while
without such an exception Jennifer would have been forced to continue her dangerous
pregnancy. About one in 3,000 pregnant women also has breast cancer during her
pregnancy, and for these women, a health exception is absolutely necessary.

Beth Whalen, a 40-year-old mother of one, was diagnosed with heart disease after the birth
of her son. She learned that any subsequent pregnancy could shave 10 years off her life.23
Without a health exception that considers the risk that pregnancy poses to Beth’s long-term
survival, Beth and women like her would be forced to carry dangerous pregnancies to term.

Doctors report that many pregnant women with heart-valve disorders die each year from
blood clots which, absent pregnancy, would not be life threatening.24 A physician who
specializes in maternal cardiac medicine said that there are “extreme pregnancy-associated
risks" for women with these heart conditions. The doctor explained that: “A high risk of
maternal mortality has implications not just for the mother but also for any potential baby
and siblings at home. And even if she survives the pregnancy, the woman may have a
reduced life expectancy or suffer from limited physical capacity.”25 For a woman presenting
late in a pregnancy with a severe heart disorder, a health exception recognizes the totality of the risks she faces and allows her to make the best decision for her health, her life, and her family.

Claudia Crown Ades and her husband discovered in her second trimester that their fetus
had a genetic disorder known as Trisomy 13, which caused the fetus to have “a fluid filled
nonfunctional brain” and a “malformed heart.”27 Following the advice of her doctor and
two specialists, she had an abortion that helped protect her fertility and allowed her to have
children in the future.28

During the seventh month of Coreen Costello’s third pregnancy her doctors determined that
her fetus was suffering from a lethal neurological disorder. Because of their profound
religious beliefs, the Costellos wanted to undergo a natural delivery process, but after
Coreen’s health worsened, her doctors discovered that the head was too large to fit through
Coreen’s cervix; a traditional delivery would have cost Coreen her fertility. After much
anguish, Coreen accepted her physician’s recommendation that an abortion was the most
appropriate option for her. She later stated: “Because of the safety of this procedure … I can
have another healthy baby.”

Because Viki Wilson’s fetus suffered from encephalocoele, two-thirds of its brain had
formed outside its skull and it tragically would not survive. A traditional birthing process
would have not only further harmed the fetus, but likely would have ruptured Viki’s uterus
as well. Her doctor also determined that a Caesarean section would be too dangerous. An
abortion was the safest solution for Viki, who called the procedure their “salvation.”

Given that they didn’t even bother to interview Trayvon Martin’s girlfriend whose cell phone records contradict Zimmerman’s words, they certainly did NOT do their “due diligence.”

See, this is a person who thinks there is nothing wrong with Zimmerman shooting Trayvon Martin, but sees something wrong with Sharpton asking for a full investigation instead of ignoring inconvenient facts.
People know the right thing to do. They complicate things when they do not want to do it.
There is really nothing here to be confused about.
The man’s life was in imminent danger, he fired his weapon.
You know this, how? Can you prove it? Can you give any unbiased evidence? Then why do you want to prevent it from going to court if you can’t prove it?
Indeed.
The evidence thus far indicates that George was on the receiving end of a beating.
It is reasonable to conclude he believed his life in danger.
There is no comparison to abortion.
Abortion is the deliberate termination of an innocent life.
We have not sufficient evidence to determine this to be the case.
We have not sufficient evidence to conclude he believed his life in danger. Many times Zimmerman has instigated violence without being in danger, including losing his job for throwing a woman across the room. The Judge has already increased his bail due to catching him in full lies. If his life was not in danger, this WAS the deliberate termination of an innocent life. That’s the purpose of a fair investigation, to look at ALL the evidence and make a conclusion. It is not clear why pro-life people are against an investigation?

As more facts emerge in this case, it begins to look more and more like a case of justifiable homicide. Martin could have easily made it home, but he chose to return and confront Zimmerman. The Medical Examiner found an abrasion on Martin’s knuckle. Zimmerman had grass stains on his back, and physical evidence indicates he had been beaten as he stated. The shot that killed Martin was fired from between 1-18 inches, and his blood was found on Zimmerman’s clothing, which makes his claim that he shot Martin, while he was underneath him sound quite plausible.

What “facts” show that Martin chose to return and confront Zimmerman? The only facts are the girlfriend’s cell phone records which say the opposite. Thankfully, there are people who value Trayvon Martin’s life and want this judged with a fair investigation instead of favoritism.
