ROME - Catholic women seeking to become priests denounced the church’s ban on female ordination as sexist and unjust, bringing their campaign close to the Vatican on Wednesday during a worldwide gathering of bishops…
Aisha Taylor, the executive director of the Women’s Ordination Conference in the United States, said the women wanted to call attention to the issue during the synod, a meeting of 253 bishops under way…
“The exclusion of women from the priesthood is a grave injustice in our church … (and) a blatant example of sexism,” she told reporters in Rome. “Even though leaders have come out saying no, and it’s over and over again, I do believe that cannot continue for too many decades.”
it is just sad that some people dont seem to get it. The Church tells us in how to live, guided by the Holy Spirit. we dont tell it how to be the Church guided by our own whims.

I was thinking about marching on the Vatican for the right for men to have babies.

They cant be priests but I believe they should be allowed to be deaconesses

I just saw this on youtube.

The One True Faith : What Happened to the Catholic Church?

Just watch this guy. He is a lay man and is a wonderful apologist. Women, too, can be like him with study and the gift of words. No one is stopping us from evangelizing.

Our Lord instituted the Church on Peter and his successors, the bishops. Holy Mother Church is guided by the Holy spirit according to the words of Christ. If the Holy Spirit inspires the pope and bishops to ordain women to the priesthood, then we will know it. Until then we must obey and be satisfied.

Here’s the weakness in their line of thinking: they seem to think that if the Church somehow changes doctrine (never happen), then they would automatically be ordained from the get go.

What they fail to realize is that while only men are ordained, not every man is ordained. There are still certain qualifications one has to meet, as well as being trained in seminary.

And I wonder how much of a spiritual battle they would face by being ordained. They only see it in terms of “rights” and equal opportunities, not seeing how hard being a priest or bishop can be, nor that being a member of the clergy is not a job but rather a vocation.

If they want to march, it will be an extremely looooong walk.

This movement disrupted Mass at our cathedral on Holy Thursday when all the priest of the diocese were there for the Chrism Mass and collection of the oils for use throughout the year… How dare they? It was on the local news and it made me, as a Catholic woman, very embarrased and ashamed for them.

This is one of the tactics of Call to Action. I don’t know if you can still find it, but there was a book out (which I read) named “Call to Action - Call to Apostasy”. A real eye opener on this group.

👍

It’s not our decision to make. The church is there to guide us, not for us to guide it. These people are so full of themselves.

These women generally are of a certain age-they formed their philosophies during the radical sixties that spawned the worst of feminism.I hate to say it but they’ll soon be irrelevant as they won"t be alive.I wonder how many are even Catholic-as they certainly are not obedient to the magisterium.Pope John Paul the Great spoke infallibly on this issue and Pope Benedict XVI confirmed it.Do they think they can nag the church into doing something it has no authority to do?

Has anyone thought of forming a women’s group to show up at these marches to carry signs and demonstrate against having women ordained.

I realize women won’t ever be ordained in any case, but I think we women should be vocal about the fact that we don’t want it.
