Dear eulogos,
Have you ever read Theology of the Body by JPII? If you haven’t I’d suggest you should. It shows the important roles women have in Christ even though they can’t be priest, and much, much more.
I’m just curious though about these Angelican women priests. How can they have the Eucharist? Only the Catholic Church has the true Eucharist. Maybe I misunderstood on what you where saying?
As for standing for Him at the alter…You may want to do that. Have you thought what God wants you to do? He created you and blessed you with certain talents for a reason and to do His work in a unique way. It may seem that priesthood is the best place to say “I love you” to Jesus, but He has a different plan for you, me, and all women. Our role/s are just as blessed and as close to Him as men’s and the priesthood. Find what He wants you to do, don’t focus on what you’d like to do.
Another part you should think of is the possibility of women priests in the future. If the Church hasn’t change in over 2000 years…why would she change now? Why change the teachings and Traditions (notice big T) ever?
Thanks for you (name removed by moderator)ut and opinion. I’m also glad that you’re still thinking about this and contemplating in search of the Truth. Once you find it, you’ll understand how all this lies in God’s plan. I’m praying for you.
God Bless you.
