I’ve never understood why the obvious answer isn’t for men to be blindfolded outside the house and led around by their mothers.
This!! Something similar popped into my head as soon as I saw this. Why does the lady always have to jump through hoops to protect the poar menfolk from teh ebul, while the guys just sit back and twiddle their thumbs?

Only works with Christians though.
To some extent that is so, but this is better:
New International Version (©1984)
And that is what some of you were. But you were washed, you were sanctified, you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God.
The description of men as having no character or self control is quite true of those who are unregenerate*.

*Not to be confused with degenerate.

Because those “men” refuse to take up their responsibility to cherish and protect women above themselves.

“As Christ died for His Church, man must also be willing to die for his bride.”

…Something I learned in Pre Cana. 😃

Unfortunately, many men don’t adhere to this. It’s unchivalrous and very cowardly of them, imho.

Be careful. Especially in reference to this article - the Saudi’s do not represent Islam. They are Wahhabi - it’s like judging all Christians based on the Westboro Baptist Church.

I do agree that their attitude has less to do with men lacking control and more to do with blaming the women essentially for existing. Though I do see this to a lesser extent as a wider cultural attitude, even in the West.
The Saudi’s do not represent Islam?! They are a big population in Islam (the Wahabbi, who have influence throughout all of the lands of Mohamaddenism) and Saudi Arabia is the birthplace and the main holy site of all of Dar-al-Islam. Westboro Baptist Church is a very small fringe group originating from the middle of nowhere, and nowhere near any major seat of Christianity (nor does it have popular followings outside of the United States). and as for it having popular following in the US?

If the Westboro Church had control of the Vatican and Westminster Abbey as Saudi has control of Mecca and Medina, if Westboro had trillions of dollars to globally influence every mosque everywhere, then ironically this is true.

Wahhabi and Westboro Christianity are comparable. only the former has global influence, and the latter is pretty much confined to one family of inbred lawyers-and if they are not truely inbred, they might as well be.

Wahhabis have great power in Islam that Westboro could only drool over having.

Unfortunately, Islam from the very beginning have seen the sacred writings of both the Jews and of Christianity as corrupted.

The Word of God, the Torah, has been the rock of the Jews since the times in the desert with cherubim guarding the Ten Commandments in the Arc of the covenant. Likewise the Christian Word of God, Jesus Christ, our own Tree of Life guarded by Cherubim in Eden, revealed to us in the Gospel of Christ, also has all been deemed to be corrupted in Islamic theology.

Without the Word of God, without the Torah and the Tree of Life, who is Christ, Islam can be no more than a JudeoChristian myth. The form of the message is there, but the substance of the message is still being guarded against, with cherubic vigor, even until today.

That is the fantasy feminists enjoy on an intellectual level to be sure.

Now if only their bodies would be able to respond and actually be turned on by men such as this.

👍

On a more serious note, because Sharia law exists to help Muslim men maintain control of their property (i.e. women)

I remember when that happened, I lived in Saudi at the time. It was atrocious, I remember everyone was horrified. So tragic, those poor girls.

Honestly I’m not surprised though. After four years living there they never failed to surprise me with their sheer lunacy.
I have family living in Jordan, and they tell me that even the other Muslim Arabs think the Saudis are savages (who have also become arrogant snobs now that they have money).

Muslims need to drink beer with hops to curb their libido and help with their self control. That’s what and why the Christian monks did.

I seen the film’s Hillary Clinton released with the women in Afghanistan’s Taliban areas. Wow, they were beating them with clubs for their hands showing. Then they showed one of those circle stonings.

If it was any worse they’d be competing with the dark ages.

An inherent problem: who gets to decide whose eyes are attractive? There may be some obvious ‘beauties’ but most of us are attracted to different persons, so what may be ‘sexy’ or attractive to one person may not to another, exponentially. One person’s ‘ugly’ eyes may be fascinating to another person. Who then may be considered safe from the ban or from possible punishment?

I have to agree. Not all Muslims are fanatics and this looking at women as the cause of sin appears to be a universal thing. Look at the number of modesty threads on CAF.

No, that would be something like ‘male education should be restricted to preparation for a lifetime of compulsory useful hobbies’.
