Good one, and very perceptive. More rain, less rain; more snow, less snow; more cold, more heat; they all get categorized the same way: symptoms of global warming. So what is not a symptom?

Used to be we just called it "weather.Good one, and very perceptive. More rain, less rain; more snow, less snow; more cold, more heat; they all get categorized the same way: symptoms of global warming.

While the rest of the world is retreating from the MMGW theory, we’re still doing things to harm our population and economy in its name. And the current government promises more.Good one, and very perceptive. I could be wrong about this but I get the impression from talking to international friends and reading foreign news sources that the European and Japanese publics are even more credulous about global warming than ours is.It’s embarrasing to be in what seems to be the most stupid country on earth when it comes to the MMGW ideology.
Possibly their populations are, but their political leaders are retreating from acting on it. Some countries, like India have decoupled their environmental agencies from IPCC entirely, because it lacks credibility.I could be wrong about this but I get the impression from talking to international friends and reading foreign news sources that the European and Japanese publics are even more credulous about global warming than ours is.
I am appreciative of the moderator’s admonition as being uncharitable is ego-centric and hinders one’s spirituality. That’s OK. The moderator’s skin is thinner than mine.

True, but what I’m relating is that the ‘lock’ that global warming has on my foreign friends’ and acquaintances’ minds is pretty strong. I’ll have to ask what the Indians I know think about global warming, for some reason it’s never come up.So, what the populace thinks and what the government does are not necessarily the same things.
It is my understanding they all did, in one way or another, except for the North Sea Oil states. They did, indeed, reduce their “carbon footprint” by turning to natural gas instead of coal. But they would have done that anyway.True, but what I’m relating is that the ‘lock’ that global warming has on my foreign friends’ and acquaintances’ minds is pretty strong. The only international friend I can remember questioning it was a lone Israeli.
Admittedly this isn’t the most scientific poll ever done and my sample size is small and biased in favor of Western Europe and Japan.
Other than India, are there any countries that are reneging on global warming promises? You’ve mentioned Russia’s fear of global cooling a number of times.
Let’s see. Who is ultimately in charge of high-level careers at NASA? Oh yes, Barack (“I’ll make your utility bills skyrocket”) Obama.Thought this would be an interesting addition to the thread, straight from NASA:

I don’t think the warming trend can be denied with this.
I don’t think anyone has claimed there hasn’t been warming in the recent past. The relevant questions are: why did it stop 15 years ago and what caused it? The problem with the NASA video is that it (falsely) implies that warming continues to this day, something that NASA knows quite well isn’t happening.Thought this would be an interesting addition to the thread, straight from NASA:

Well, if the 100 light bulbs were Christmas-tree size, no problem, non?I believe that climate change is caused by electromagnetic toxicity.
There’s a report by “science” that Earth’s electromagnetic field has been weakening for the past 200 years. That coincides perfectly with the poling & wiring of the planet, which began in the mid 1800’s.
There was an atmospheric collapse in 2008 which “science” speaks of a “solar minimum”. I think it has nothing to do with solar activity and everything to do with electromagnetic toxicity. The ionosphere is the layer of the atmosphere were data transmission takes place.
If you google Earth at Night pictures, you can see the heavy, dense concentration of electricity in certain regions on the planet. East Coast, United States is so electromagnetically charged that I truly think we need an actual exodus.
There is not just warming on Earth, there is also cooling. But think of the heat, in this way. I have this bright idea called ‘100 light bulbs’. Imagine sitting in an average size room that has 100 light bulbs.
Could you stand the heat? Likely, no. Not at all.
Humanity needs to understand electricity, and its relationship to the health / sickness of the planet.
No, not christmas tree size. Regular light bulbs, in one room. 100 of them. You’d feel the heat, and you would not be able to tolerate it.Well, if the 100 light bulbs were Christmas-tree size, no problem, non?
Seriously, the amount of electrical power human life produces would be laughable compared to the electric charge in the atmosphere (all those thunderstorms!) and the constant storms of electrically charged matter down from the sun.

Go toward either of the poles and look up. Those curtains of light in the sky? That’s billions of highly charged particles slamming into the atmosphere, releasing enough energy that in 1859, telegraph operators in Portland, Maine and Boston were able to communicate using only the charge induced in the wires from the aurora - both ends had disconnected their power supplies and were still able to communicate…No, not christmas tree size. Electricity generates heat (even a computer can burn out, from heat, or a television or engine in a car). But even without concentrated heat, electromagnetic toxicity is still detrimental, not only to human beings, but the environment itself.
Two pertinent points (which I’ve already made):Go toward either of the poles and look up. Those curtains of light in the sky? Even if we somehow pumped every watt of generated electric power directly into the magnetosphere, we couldn’t come close to the amount of power already there naturally.
The Earth’s magnetic field is produced by a spinning, molten ball of nickel-iron about the size of Mars that masses about 2x10^24kg. Despite what The Core showed, we don’t have the capability to even imagine affecting something of that size and mass. The strength of the field varies significantly throughout the planet’s history, sometimes reversing totally. As recently as ~40,000 years ago its strength dropped to less than 5% of what it is today. The current decline in magnetic field strength actually goes back about 2000 years, when it was 35% stronger than it is today. Two pertinent points (which I’ve already made):
- Earth’s electromagnetic shield / field has been weakening for about 200 years. That coincides perfectly with the poling & wiring of the planet, which began in the mid 1800’s.
I honestly don’t think you’re grasping the sheer scales involved. The ionosphere’s height is a result of the interaction between the Earth’s magnetic field and the solar wind. The 2008 “collapse” was caused by a solar minimum - something over which we have precisely zero control. There’s actually another collapse being predicted for the coming year, as solar activity levels have fallen far below previously observed values. What is distinct is data transmissions. The ionosphere is where the satellites hang out.
- Atmospheric collapse in 2008.
I don’t think you have any idea what you are talking about. There is no link to illness from power lines, unless you touch them. Then I think you can figure out what happens.I believe that climate change is caused by electromagnetic toxicity.

You blinded him with science. Job well done!To put things in perspective, let’s say every single satellite ever launched was still up there and transmitting. That’s 1900 satellites, but we’ll bump it up to 2000 to make the math easier. Most communications satellites transmission power is about 3W, but we’ll bump them up to the most powerful transmitter ever launched: Voyager 1 and 2 have 23W transmitters. So, if every satellite ever launched and then some were all transmitting at the same time at the strength of the most powerful radio ever launched, we’re looking at a total of 46kW. An average auroral display dumps between 4 and 900 GW into the atmosphere. At a minimum, that’s more than ten thousand times greater than 2000 Voyager probes transmitting at maximum power.
