Worst Super Bowl ever

I’m a Raiders fan (I’m from Saint Louis) so I do like the Rams, they didn’t come prepared, they punted and failed to convert a first down their first 8 drives, and this is the first time all season they didn’t score a touchdown in the first half, but you gotta give Brady credit, he probably is the best of all tims

My problem with this year’s game is that I just had no investment in either team. I agree that a close game is much better than a blowout but the score stuck at 3-3 is very different than a score of 27-24 IMHO! Between my lack of investment in the teams and no offense, I just couldn’t stay interested.

I’ve watched every game since the first. Usually, even if I don’t care about the team per say, I’ll care about certain players or how the “Orange Crush” performs. Sad to say…not this year.

Looking forward to next season, though. Broncos will have a new coach we can blame for crappy playing. 😂

For next season, I’m hoping Antonio Brown and Le’Veon Bell kiss and make up with Steelers (especially AB) and that they add some much needed depth in their secondary. If they can stop acting like the Kardashians of the NFL, they’ll have a shot.

If hopes were honey, the Rooneys could fill Heinz with it.

The Steelers, at least for a few years, are gonna decline. Bell and Brown are gone, and Ben soon too.

I’m just a fan of football; I was rooting for the Rams, because they felt like the underdog to me, and New England has enough championships already. Every time I felt like something good was going to happen, they just blew it. It could’ve been worse though.

I actually watched the Halftime show this year, not because I cared about that guy who took his shirt off, that guy who wore the entire family of furry animals as a coat, or that other guy, but because I expected them to do something stupid. I halfway expected the guitar player to break into a Hendrix-esque Star Spangled Banner so all the musicians could take a knee in solidarity with whatsisname. But alas, it was boring too.

Although I was not alive yet, I have to say Superbowl III was the worst of all time. The Baltimore Colts were beaten 16-7 by the NY Jets 😮 in the biggest upset in Superbowl history. A game that will live in infamy!

My dad was on suicide watch apparently.

Yeah, but I still hold out hope as I think this squad with the “killer Bs” could bring home another ring. It’ll be interesting to see if the Steelers transition tag Bell.

Not gonna happen. But JuJu is looking pretty doggone good, and James Conner will put Bell out of the picture.

JuJu is a superstar! I still love AB, though. I can’t help it. 😦

My daughter was this close to buying a Brown jersey a couple months ago, but decided on Ben at the last second.

Johnny U grew up in Pittsburgh as well (but he didn’t start in Superbowl III, he was benched due to an arm injury—Earl Morall played most of the game. Near the end of the game Don Schula finally put Unitas in and he managed to get one touchdown)

I have one. But then again I still have my old Lambert jersey from when I was a kid!

Best ad was the Microsoft Adaptive Controls ad featuring the handicapped kids.

The game? A defensive masterpiece if you like those. Otherwise, meh?

Defense, what’s that? In this age of wide open offensive formations and game plans. Defense, who knew?

I like defense and strategy when it comes to football, so I enjoyed the game a great deal, even though I’m a bigger fan of college ball.

Edited for clarity

I don’t watch much football at all, but I’ll usually catch at least part of the Super Bowl. I like the Pats and was glad they were in the big game. I like Brady and was happy for him, getting another championship. Guess I like to see the more seasoned players winning.

We spent the weekend at the Midwestern Synchronized Skating Championships in Michigan cheering for our daughter’’ teams–all 3 qualified for Nationals. We saw a lot of wonderful skating programs, especially the ones performed by the “Masters”–a division in which over half of the skaters on the team have to be over age 35. It’s amazing how figure skating keeps people young and beautiful.

We turned on the Superbowl when we finally got home, and thought it was deadly dull. We didn’t mind the commercials, but other than the football game at the banquet (the one with all the retired players), none of the commercials made us jump up and down.

Da Bears! Even though they didn’t make the Super Bowl, they sure had a great season and gave us a lot of thrills–much better than that boring Super Bowl game! Hope they make it next year.

I think one reason i didn’t get into the Super Bowl is that I’m still kind of mad that the refs missed that call in the Saints/Rams game. I absolutely HATE bad referee-ing or bad calls of any kind in any sport or competition!! Grrrr!
