Pjm is this your blog? Did you write this?
Whether or not I ‘lived’ pre and post Vat 11 is irrelevant.
Whether or not I choose to share in the Eucharist going down the aisle walking, on my knees, in a wheelchair, on a walking stick , also is irrelevant.
Are you suggesting a person in a wheel chair , who sits and takes the Eucharist in his hand is not as worthy? Not as worthy as a kneeler mouth receiver? Not as holy and worshipping as fully?
Touching God? Touching the Body and Blood , Soul and Divinity of Jesus, well my friend, Jesus wants us to touch Him. He wants to touch us. We join with Jesus as the Body of Christ, the Church.
Why are you spreading these ideas? You are spreading error.
The only relevant is, that no matter what type of Mass, Jesus is present. No matter what type of building, Priest, congregation, music, language, Jesus is there.
That’s the only relevant thing. Jesus is there. We share three ways at Mass, any Mass, do you know what they are?
and we ask Jesus a very specific petition when we take the Eucharist. Do you know what that is?
These are what is relevant.
Receiving in hand or mouth makes no difference to what we are receiving. And why.
If you don’t feel you are worshipping God at any Mass, the problem is with you. Worship is an interior action. Worship comes from the heart the mind the soul.
‘ Hear oh Israel, the Lord our God is one. And you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, your mind, your strength.’
