Not really. There are some Canonesses not far away, something set up in the sixties I think. They are very nice apparently, as you’d expect. Someone I know visits one as a spiritual director.
Yes. I looked out in my garden to see a blackbird standing inches away from a passing three foot long snake! The bird and I were shocked! Honestly the bird looked for all the world as though it was going to peck it at one point. I still don’t know what it was, but I think it was an adder, our only poisonous one.
Sometimes yes and sometimes no it all depends on my mood. I am also very fond of Jazz as well.
RU someone who skips breakfast?
Speaking of peanut butter, which I really enjoy, I also like Sun Butter (made from sunflower seeds), Cashew Butter, and Almond Butter. They are pricey though, but I generally make my own sunflower butter.
BTW my Marmite finally arrived and I had it on toast this am.
I didn’t used to eat breakfast for a while because it made me feel sick for some reason but when I started doing extremely physical work I needed to eat and so did. Every morning I eat one slice of brown bread with…Marmite
RU fond of ginger wine (my favourite tipple in winter.)
Thunderstorms watered the garden
When I get that cold Lee I fill up a hot water bottle and take a rest. You have my sympathies regarding the weather !
Are you preparing foods ahead of Christmas ?
Yes, a flat frozen turkey fitted the freezer section of the fridge. However the mince pies are eaten as soon as they come in the front door, by me
I need self discipline no doubt about it. I blame the supermarkets, £1 for six pies! How can I resist?
RU planning to do a charitable act for someone this Christmas?
