I gotta say, I find discobot as a play fortune bot, really abhorrent on a Catholic web site.

I have said it before and even got suspended once, after a certain thread … even CAF hates discobot taking over threads 🙀😎

Correct. That’s why it’s time to correct this. Confucius tried and he was against divination. He tried to bring it back to its original meaning and purpose before people used it for divination.
During the qin dynasty Shi Huangdi burned lots of books of philosophy. Luckily the I Ching was regarded as a divination book so it was spared. So ironically if Confucius succeeded we may not see it now.
The most basic form of yin yang philosophy only contains symbols so it’s hard to imagine how it was originally used for divination.
Hence you are correct that it has been abused for centuries. Still doesn’t mean it is inherently a divination book.
