You know you’re a traditional Catholic male if you’ve ever pondered what name you would take if you were elected Pope (and have changed your mind about this most pressing issue)
You know you’re a Traditional Catholic - when you’re stunned that a someone would wait more than a month to baptize their newborn ! (or name them “Apple”, “Summer” or whatever - instead of a saint’s name)i have question actually… why catholics get baptized when they’re still babies? i mean, they don’t know anything bout the sacrament yet but then it is being done to them, to me, to us.
Christ was baptized when he was already an adult… why aren’t we and born agains are?

Ha! There’s only a few dioceses with a Censor left. Lincoln NE and Kansas City MO come to mind. I’d trust their imprimaturs! You know you’re a Traditional Catholic when instead of an Imprimatur, you seach for books with the TAN logo!
I think the Missals should be worded better. I have a hard time reading them. You’re the only one bowing his head during part of the creed at an OF mass (it could also be argued this makes you the only functionally literate person there, too![]()
O my gosh! I love it!When you are helping someone hang a picture and you say “Move it a little bit to the Gospel side.”
This actually happened to me too just a couple of months ago. I had to restrain myself from a strong urge to genuflect before entering the row of seats at the movie theater. Maybe it was because it was going to see “Doubt,” so I was feeling extra Catholic. I’m glad to hear I’m not the only oneI’ll start:
The other day, I went to the movies. When I got into the theater, I started walking to the other side where there were more seats. When I got to the middle, I stopped and was one second away from genuflecting to the movie screen! I luckily caught myself and laughed as I sat down.
Thanks for the reading list! ISo, how do you know if you are a Traditional Catholic? The answer is simple. You know *for sure *that you are a Traditional Catholic when you can read the pre-Vatican II papal emcyclicals that disucss Liberalism and modernism and find them to be a joy, and an expression of exactly what you still believe. That is how you and I can know if we are Traditional Catholics.
What are some of these enyclicals?
1.) Mortalium Animos, Pius XI
2.) Libertas, Leo XIII
3.) Quanta Cura, Pius IX
4.) Humani Generis, Pius XII
5.) Mirari Vos, Gregory XVI
6.) Pascendi, Pius X
7.) Satis Gognitum, Leo XIII
Similar experience: while in choir in college, we had a concert scheduled to take place at a local Presbyterian church (beautiful church, good acoustics). Upon entering for the first dress rehearsal, I genuflected and crossed myself!I’ll start:
The other day, I went to the movies. When I got into the theater, I started walking to the other side where there were more seats. When I got to the middle, I stopped and was one second away from genuflecting to the movie screen! I luckily caught myself and laughed as I sat down.
Any experiences you guys have?
True! And you know you’re a borderline Pharisee (one step beyond a T.C.) when you see a church with only priest hearing confession, and you don’t wonder why because you think you already know. You know you’re a Traditional Catholic when you wonder why a church only has one priest hearing confession.
