It’s actually ‘cave canem’…😃

/Latin grammar nerd.

Although in my case it’s more like ‘cave feliciem’ (beware of the cat!)
Thanks, Latin grammar nerd. My spell check didn’t catch that one!

I remember my dance teacher in eighth grade would always cross herself and say a prayer whenever an emergency vehicle went by – it made quite an impression and I picked up the habit as well. Thanks, Miss O’Neil, for more than 50 years of blessings for those in need and for myself as well:thumbsup: Good example is something “newer” Catholics don’t get/give enough of.

You’re a TC when you call it the ambo, and the stoups in the narthex.

You know… when you drive around a sharp mountain curve and someone breaks out with “Jesus,Mary,Joseph!”

An older Catholic looking over this thread with me said:

You know you’re one of the original Traditional Catholics if you remember when all the things posted on this thread used to just be called “Catholic”.

Amen!

when you just about have a heart attack seeing people who are apparently Catholic and chewing up the Host with their mouths open and slouching back to their pews.

I have a sore around my neck from my rosary…does that count for anything? 😃

Today on Yahoo I saw a headline: Dominicans achieve world record for reading aloud --and I just ASSUMED they meant Dominican priests, nuns, or Third Order, not (as it turned out to be) people from the Dominican Republic!

you plan your work schedule around holy days…

you still teach the “traditional” faith to your CCD students…

you save most of your allowance to put in the poor box…and only spend a small amount on baseball cards…(this was in the 80’s when packs were 2 for $1.00)

you go downtown and feed the homeless on Thanksgiving…

your dog is named after a Saint… (my sister’s dog is named Rocco and she is an artist and thought that her friend was saying Rocco when it was Roscoe or somebody like that)

your pet wears a Saint Francis medal…

your priest’s dog comes to Confession for comfort…👍

And that makes you a traditional Catholic how? Do you really think that those who attend the OF do not have priests over for dinner?

Oh my goodness. It’s funny how this spammer quoted frosty and then proceeded to spam as if the spam is any way related to frost’s post.

Hi, I joined just to make a quick comment. I found CAF because i enjoyed reading the apologetic Q&A’s. Yet after reading this thread, I will not longer visit this website. I was fooled into thinking there would be light-hearted comments. To get to the point, the OF is often insulted, and described as something painful. I love music by contemporary Christian artists, and I barely know any Latin. Am I less holy because of this?
