That looks cool! I’ve always been meaning to go on a road trip to Yosemite National Park. Perhaps when I finally do that, I’ll go to mass there.

There is something very special about small old churches in the middle of nowhere!

Beautiful and the bones of James the Greater are in a silver box under the altar. Pilgrims arrive there and pray.

The San Beda Abbey in Manila, Philippines; run by the Benedictine Monks. This chapel is attached to our school, where I finished my undergraduate. I also named my ID profile after it, which I translated to English.

I love the color scheme of this one. Unusual for us Americans! Are the multicolored lights used year around or was it for a specific occasion or holiday? If you know, that is!

Okay, this is going to be one of those “the church is the people, not only the building” posts:

(Greenville, South Carolina) Eastern Christians bless waters / rivers / streams every year for Theophany, and this parish processed to the town park, which provided a good way to evangelize:

One of my favorite church buildings is sadly not a Catholic church. I can’t go back in time and have Frank Lloyd Wright design a Catholic church. I don’t think he ever did design a Catholic church, but I’d be thrilled to learn otherwise. I know he designed synagogues and protestant churches though. I really loved the interior of the Unity Temple in Oak Park Illinois. It is Unitarian. Most of the pictures are mine. The last two are not mine.

In one of the pictures it shows cat prints on the cement. When they were building this over 100 years ago, a cat broke in and ran around on the wet cement until it realized its mistake and ran back out. They never bothered to get rid of the cat prints.
