Assumption Catholic Church in East Los Angeles. The parish was founded in 1927 to serve the Mexican people who were fleeing the religious persecution that was happening in their homeland at that time. This present church was built in 1961.

St. George’s Church!!! So beautiful! I was just there myself! 🙂

Attached are some shots of the interior and exterior during a Divine Liturgy.

The one with the priest was taken shortly prior to him drenching us with holy water!

I couldn’t help myself walking though Frank Lloyd Wright’s Unity temple. I kept thinking about where the stations of the cross, a statue of Jesus and Mary, and an altar crucifix a needed to be.

Yeah, it would’ve been interesting to see what Frank Lloyd Wright could’ve done if he designed a Catholic Church.

Some synagogues are quite beautiful, too!
The Dohány Street Synagogue, also known as the Great Synagogue of Budapest, is the largest synagogue in Europe and one of the largest in the world. Built between 1854 and 1859, by architect Ludwig Forster, the sanctuary can seat up to 3,000 people.

The Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception, unfortunately I can’t post photos. I highly recommend spending time there if you are ever in Washington DC

Here is a how frank llyod wright would’ve designed a catholic church it was designed by Barry Bryne a student of Wright’s in the prairie school design most associated with Wright(Please Note: This uploaded content is no longer available.) Thanks for posting two churches done by Frank Lloyd Wright and his student. Usually, I don’t like the work of Frank Lloyd Wright’s students as much, but I really do like this church designed by Barry Bryne. Was it in Chicago?

I really do like the Orthodox Church Frank Lloyd Wright designed. It is wild though.

I love the carved image above the door, which reminds us to pray for the souls of Purgatory.

I do like Bryne’s churches because they are dignified spaces that look like churches and have a natural look
