. Catholic church of the Most Holy Trinity in Augusta, Georgia.
Nice church, Adam - have you ever passed by the Orthodox mission they set up in North Augusta? A group of Orthodox Christians bought a Mechanic’s garage and converted it into their worship space. If I’m ever in the region I’ll have to attend services:

I don’t think I had posted this before, this is the “old St Mary’s” in Aiken. It’s still used for weddings, weekday Masses, weekday confessions, and Spanish Mass on Sundays.
If I can find a good interior picture (especially of the altar) I will post it.

So Chartres in France is something else. @Rob2 already mentioned Chartres. I replied to his post about Chartres. I’ll show pictures he didn’t show. All of the pictures are mine except the one with the full view of the Labyrinth inside the church. I was at Chartres for mass last Sunday evening.

The stone work inside Chartres is pretty amazing.

I particularly like the labyrinth designs in Chartres and another on the grounds of Chartres. Some have thought of the labyrinth as a model of a journey to the holy land.

Some years ago my PP family were from Goa, iirc he came out with them when a little boy. I’ve also venerated the arm of St Francis Xavier when it came to my town.

Very Recently I went to the Mont Saint Michel Abbey. I took these pictures. It took centuries to build and was started based on a vision from Archangel Michael to bishop Saint Aubert of Avranches. Presently, the Monastic Fraternities of Jerusalem reside there and say mass and vespers. Previously the Benedictines were there. We walked up and saw vesper ceremony as the sun was setting. The chapel is small and you can see some of the nuns and brothers getting ready for vespers in my picture. The stone carving, also in the Abbey, shows Saint Aubert’s vision.

Is it me or does the alar-piece seem out of place from the rest of the cathedral?

It could be called “artistic freedom” or “The architect didn’t get enough instructions for the design”?

Design popular in the second half of the 20th century and forward for the building with an altar set that looks medieval.

I’m just saying that style should have gone for the entire cathedral.

I wonder if perhaps that altarpiece was brought over from an older cathedral 🤔

I’ve posted this church before (St. Andrew Nevinsky in Howell NJ) but here are a few more pictures:
