The person who started the thread appears to believe that homosexual acts are not sins, so why would I tell them the same thing I am telling you? They aren’t judging others’ inclinations to be more sinful than theirs as you seem to be.
Honestly, I did my best to stick to the topic, although at times a poster tried to drag me into off topic. I never judged any poster here. I simply presented my opinion regarding the topic. It is unfortunate that some posters took it personally.

Really, the Church does not teach that? I thought you already read the CCC. Here:
2351 Lust is disordered desire for or inordinate enjoyment of sexual pleasure. Sexual pleasure is morally disordered when sought for itself, isolated from its procreative and unitive purposes.
You know very well what I mean agangbern as I spelled it out for you clearly.

Homosexuality is not a sin. Performing homosexual acts IS a sin.

You believe both are sins.
You know I am not selfish when it comes to apology when it is due. But please be specific. What phrase or sentence have I said that is worth to be called an insult to him?
I suggest you reread all your posts to find out. It was he who stated he had to put you on ignore due to your insults.

And your ‘opinion’ on the topic differs with the teachings of the church. It’s that simple.

Homosexuality is not a sin.
And that is not what the Church teaches. Read the CCC.

You reread them and show me what sentence I made which was directed to insult him

Underscore disordered sexual desire, that is a sin. And the **sexual desire **is considered disordered when it is sought for itself isolated from the procreative and unitive purpose. The homosexual’s sexual desire is isolated from any procreative purpose. It is clear, therefore that it is disordered sexual desire and a sin. Where does the church say that such kind of disordered sexual desire not a sin?
Here is where you tried to cram your version of church teaching down goofyjims throat.

You may consider SSA a sin agangbern but the church does not.

Goofyjym and I may not agree on the topic, but I agree with him that this one’s run it’s course and seems to be getting personal.

I second the motion to close it.

I am a full Christian with homosexual attraction. I stay close to the Lord in prayer. He has simply consoled me that His grace is sufficient for me. If I cannot overcome the attractions it does not matter to Him.
In no way is this sinful or in opposition to our Church teachings. You are carrying a cross and it is something many of us cannot imagine. I for one, am glad to have you as a member, a good member and witness of our faith in the Catholic Church. 👍

Thank you all for your support. It just goes to show what actually makes up the body of Christ. I do not need to be “taught” by anyone except the magisterium. All else is just opinion. If I cannot overcome the attractions it does not matter to Him.
Jesus is the consummate male. He is the Alpha and the Omega. In giving yourself to Him you will become like Him. Jesus accentuates the male and He also imbues in women their femininity and their female awareness.

With your entire being ask that you may be like Him.

Just be honest, iamrefreshed! Did I say SSA in that quotation? Frankly, it is you who is trying to cram words into my mouth! And look, are the words I said above not taught by the Church, or you simply want to avoid the true teachings of the
Church?

Which one is not in opposition to the teachings of the Church? The “disordered sexual desire”?

He started a thread asking for opinions. And now that you are reading opinions which does not please your expectations you would accuse the opiner as “judging others”! That is unfair of you to do.

That’s right! The thread starter asked for opinions on gays in general. But it seems some posters here took the opinions as personal judgment against them as an individual.

Do you actually have a point to make aside from insulting people and trying to incite flame wars?

Nobody can take you seriously because you seem to lack the courage to stand by your convictions and you dont seem able to admit when you made a mistake (or when you are wrong) either.

That is simply your opinion too, and I respect it. But while pointing a finger at me, remember that three more of your fingers are pointing at you.

Relax folks. I can take untruths and insults. It wouldn’t be the first time it has happened on these forums. I won’t mention names but I do know of two others in the past who have misinterpreted things and said that even those with ssa cannot live chastely until they are osa. How sad that they disagree with the Church on the right wing side of things. This is why I am cautious of both the right wing and the left wing and just stay in the middle.

You know the saying. “God created Adam and Eve, not Adam and Steve”.

Gen 1:27-28 “God created Man in his image; in the Devine image he created him. Male and female he created them. God blessed them saying “be fertile and multiply, fill the earth and subdue it””.

Catholics must be Married to have sex, and Marriage itself is between one man and one woman.

Other parts of the Bible deal with that.

I pray for Gays but I don’t trust them around children and I especially oppose the political agenda of Homosexual groups.
