I’m still a little confused as to the point of the view the OP is trying to represent when he gives counsel. If it is the Catholic church’s view, then Blest One (post #2) stated is quite well. If it’s not the Church’s view, then you can to the wrong place to ask your questions.
Also, I don’t think parents will be seeking you out. By the time a parent has a college age child, they have given this subject much thought and most likely have an idea how they will react.
Lastly, the college years are very difficult for many young people because for the first time they are away from their parents and trying to find their own identity. Except for me, I was brainwashed from the day I was born and lived at home during college.
