This is another example between blame and responsible. The President is responsible for what happened. He is not to be blamed though. In fact, a quick response instead of a calloused indifference to what might be a serious issue, or bogus, shows positive leadership somewhere. For the good that happens as well, the president is responsible.

The President is responsible for what happened.
At this point we don’t know that anything happened. One news article I saw today said two hysterectomies were being investigated. Could we wait just a little before we add this to Trump’s list of sins?

You misunderstood what I was saying. You are right. We do not know what happened. A fast response to investigate this is a credit the administration. ICE responded appropriately. I was trying to say that all the times we pile on Trump for what happens under him, he also deserves recognition for the right response here.

I am sorry if something positive about Trump coming from me threw anyone for a loop. But I do try to make it a point to give his administration praise when I see the good.

So they’re wasting time & money on something they already know to be total bunk?
No, I mean exactly what I said.
An investigation simply means they are looking into the allegations to see if there is any evidence. It doesn’t mean there is any more credibility to the story.

It also doesn’t mean the story is “total bunk” either.

The article says it’s an ongoing investigation
True.
But from the article…
“Ebrard told reporters that 20 of 24 female Mexican nationals being held at detention centers in the U.S. states of Georgia and Texas had been interviewed and none of then had been subjected to such procedures.”

So yes, they need to interview 4 more.
And so far… nothing.

I am beginning to think that the whistle blower was simply looking for some election cycle attention.

We shall see…

So who do we believe?

Both cannot be true.

Actually, they can. The BBC article was two days before the other. In the intervening time, two of their victims turned out not to be.

The whistle blower’s story doesn’t seem to be panning out.

“We are already in contact with six (Mexican women) who could potentially have been subjected to this type of procedure,”
That’s a meaningless statement. Any woman who passed through the ICE facility in question “could potentially have been subjected to this type of procedure”
