I was thinking this as well. As a licensed Therapist this is very alarming indeed.
These parents must have found a fringe psychiatrist to diagnose so young a child with this conditions and a physician to prescribe these medications. Agree with Gender Identity Disorder or not, I have never heard of it being diagnosed in a non-adult.
Most therapists and psychiatrists are extremely hesitant to diagnose Bi-Polar Disorder or a Psychotic Disorder, much less such a rare and controversial diagnosis in a child.
These parents had to shop for this type of “care” to be provided.
These hormone treatments well result in permanent and irreversable changes in this child. These kinds of decisions shouldn’t be made by kids or parents on behalf on their kids.
This type of “early interventionist” strategies were historically given to children with ambiguous genitalia and these people are nearly universally unhappy with the results.
This is really sad for this poor kid.

how does any court or doc think this is right, see what happens,how is this ok with the lesbian parents, im 26 and at 11 i wanted to be a cop, astronaut, fireman so on, i didnt want to cut of my wang and be a girl.
the boy is in no way metnally able to make a choice that will live with for the rest of his life, the only reason he is probably doing this is because of his parents, this is sick, i know for a fact that lesbian couples grrom there adopted or real children to believe men are evil and wrong and as the children grow up thats what they come to believe…this is sick, they take away the boy

The real crisis in this country comes from people like you. While I understand any medical concern that you have for the child, the fact that you assume that this is the parents fault is misguided and completely discriminatory. In a study by the American Psychological Association, there is no correlation between gay parenting and the sexuality of their children. On a side note, the fact that you compare transgender individuals to dogs is an atrocity. As a Christian, I try to live by “Love thy neighbor as thyself,” not whatever ******** doctrine you choose to follow.

As a Christian, I follow Jesus example by telling those who are living in darkness to “Go, and sin no more.” These parents are committing one of the most heinous and egregious forms of child abuse, allowing the child to question who he truely is.
