I wonder what he has against Jack? Is he just in it for the money? The power? Did his mom favor Jack as a child? Is he jealous of what Jack has become? Did jack do something bad to him in the past. Is it the thing with his wife?

My DH brought up a good point…usually when you get to know the background/history/personal life of the hero to this depth (that they’re taking it this season) that means the end is near…add that to Ricky Schroeder joining the cast and I’m thinking one more season MAX (plus the movie, of course)

I’m still trying to understand what this guy’s agenda is. Does he want the money and has some sort of arrangement for the terrorist to only blow up certain parts of the country that he won’t be in? Is he still fighting for the oil? There are probably still people in the administartion helping out the terrorists so that the US can blow up the middle east and steal the oil just like is planned for every season.

Hopefully the story line will shed some more light next week. I’m not clear what his agenda is this season either. I wonder about Jack’s Dad. Was he an un-willing participant brought into this by Jack’s brother

Anyway, in the preview for next week, they show the brother acting confrontational with Jack again. The impression was that this was after any “interrogation” techniques. Curious.
We are just now watching this having never seen it in previous seasons. We are enjoying it. Definitely entertaining. I don’t find the timing very credible though. That is an awful lot to accomplish between 6:00am and 11:00am. Just the prisoner release would have taken longer than that I would think.

Yeah, thre is actually a lot of stuff which seems incredible. (Lists have been posted satiring it, for instance, “How is it that they ALWAYS have cell service even in the worst of possible locations?”) You just have to give up on that and get beyond it to enjoy the show. It’s a “fantasy hour”, of sorts. Actually, I kind of like how the hour is roughly akin to the time passing as you watch it. So when they show it being 8:49, well it is probably somewhere around :49 on your watch.

You’re just not used to “Jackisms”. He’s Jack - thus it’s totally believable and realistic too.
