He was brought in toward the end of last season after the nerve gas killed Edgar. You missed the biggest thing he is, Chloe’s ex-husband.
Her ex-husband??? I knew they dated for a while while her and Milo were “taking a break”, but I had no idea he was ex-husband.

OK, so I’m all for the suspension of reality aspects of 24. I consider it mere artistic license which is necessary to move along the plot, usually. But the awakening of President Palmer is taking things too far. It’s like coma to complete consciousness in 60 seconds! Action scences to promote drama are one thing, but we’re REALLY delving into the world of mere fantasy here now. It’s past the point of human conflict and just getting laughable.

Come on Chicago…just a little… ahhh well…its 24;)

I do look forward to watching 24 …Jack is

Well, I haven’t seen any comments in awhile from “24” fans…so, I thought I’d feel you all out and see if anyone out there is still watching. I almost stopped watching when they brought in Audrey! How anti-climactic was that!!! Jack singlehandedly saves the country from a nuclear holocaust…then immediately gets a phone call to save Audrey. sigh…what I want to know is, WHERE"S TONY? I thought he was going to be on! Perhaps he’ll be the interim director???

I’m thinking that “24” may have passed it’s hey day.

I never miss an episode, I wonder if Tony will show up:hmmm:

I thought Tomy got killed . . .Hard to keep everybody straight.
It’s pretty amazing what can supposedly happen in 24 hours … thank God I’ve had bad days, but never one like that.

And it’s amazing how Jack never looks tired, drinks coffee, or shows any special symptoms of having been fighting evil for 20 hours straight now. Does he ever eat?

I have a problem with Jack’s vengefulness coming out. His main attraction for me was his integrity, he put his own life in danger to rescue the president, the country, etc. Then he hangs people he could just as easily have arrested. . .

Have you heard that the army asked the writers to tone down the show’s violence? Too many recruits were showing up saying they wanted to do what Jack does!

A lot of this season has been so wildly far fetched or predictable (who didn’t see the President having a relapse, for instance?) that isn’t almost been hokey if not “jump the shark”. I was definitely thinking that when Audrey re-entered the picture. But this latest twist is interesting. Is it even really Audrey? The Chinese DO have the chip. Will they replicate it quickly enough that it doesn’t matter whether they catch that dude? What will come of Jack? Will he escape into exile? Who is the forthcoming spy? Where is Bill heading? And how will Chloe magically help out (as usual)?

It was impossible that the president would be without a doctor and nurse by his side every moment since bringing him out of the coma to begin with. So, yeah, given that the writers had us take that in, it was predictable he’d lapse into a coma again.

I didn’t see Jack killing Curtis, though the writing was on the wall as soon as we got that glimpse into his past.

I did not see Martha killing Charles Logan, though I did figure something was up with that knife (the way she whacked at the kiwi!). Then having him die from the wound!? Of course we won’t get any followup on that story - will she be tried? will there be a funeral?

I thought it was stupid for the first responders to the wounded drone be regular fire units considering CTU knew the drone contained the nuclear device and the drone crashed. They should have issued orders for only HAZMAT responders to get there first. So now we have all those people doomed to die.

I knew Gradenko would cut his arm off to escape. Did not expect him to turn on Fayad in the bar, did not expect him to die alone under the pier.

I knew right away Audrey wasn’t dead. Bugs me that CTU didn’t, though…after all they’ve seen these past three years? I’m surprised she’s as messed up as she is, though, Audrey was always a tough character - tougher than she appeared.

I have been surprised with Tom. I’m actually rooting for the guy.

I’m surprised Milo wasn’t next in line and that Nadia hasn’t pulled Chloe into isolation until Jack is brought in (everyone knows Chloe will do anything for Jack). Turns out Nadia was a Director over in Detroit, and the highest Milo ever got was Internet Protocol Manager. So she leaves a director spot in Detroit for an Associate Special Agent in L.A.? Hmmm.

But I gotta say, the most incredible stretch is the phone technology (well, at least they have Jack using ‘vibrate’ this year, last season it was so stupid how his phone would ring when he’s hiding in the air vent - but that’s another story: how many phones actually get reception in bunkers, basements, elevators and the like?)…but really…those are Sprint phones Chloe, Jack, Karen and Bill are using. Chloe’s is the MP3 version and honestly I don’t see her as the MP3 music type, Karen does have the TV capability, but Jack? I don’t know any Sprint phones that can download schematics so quickly and act as infrared motion detector maps!

There are enough twists and turns to keep me interested, but I don’t know about another season. Maybe they should end with the movie, like X-Files did.

Great post! I agree with all of the above. Do you think Tony will be the interim director? I know he is supposed to be in this season, but when and where?

Well heck, they’ve brought back Jack and Audrey back from the dead why not?

We last saw Tony here:
“Tony learns that Henderson, the man who was responsible for killing Michelle, is now in the same room with him after the nerve gas lockdown. Tony grabs the guarding agent’s gun and threatens to kill Henderson. Jack talks him out of it over intercom. When Henderson lapses into a coma, Tony wants to inject him with a lethal dose of the medicine. Yet he can’t bring himself to do it. The alert Henderson takes Tony’s hand and forces him to stab himself. When Jack gets there, he finds that Henderson has escaped. Tony dies in Jack’s arms.”

I suppose it’s possible the injection he took wasn’t lethal. And since that was season 5, Jack, having been carted away to China, may not know that Tony’s alive, just as he didn’t know Audrey was dead. ha ha  how crazy that sounds!

Heck, we don’t even know if Curtis is really dead. We last saw him slumped next to the tire of the car and he had his vest on. I figured Jack shot for the neck but I didn’t see blood gushing out on his way down. 😛

Where have you read/heard Tony’s back? Have they mentioned the Character name: Tony, or the actor’s name? On the Character files of the 24 website they have a **DECEASED **stamp over the character’s file photo.

Earlier in this thread, it was reported that “Tony” was making the rounds promoting this season’s show. With only 3 episodes left, I’m guessing that he’s really ! snif-snif

Anyway, I like how they’ve made the VP a “decent” guy now. I like that Tom is also more likeable. I believe that Lisa Miller will mess things up with the lobbyist guy.

Somehow or another, I think Bill is going to come back, and Karen will end up taking the fall for the mess.

I have a bad feeling about Doyle. I think he’s going to be killed. Not sure why, but …

I wonder if Kim will make an appearance? I’m hoping NOT!🙂

The Chloe and Morris situation…what does everyone think of that? I think Morris will start drinking again and get fired.

Jack’s SIL—looks like she’s going after Jack. I’d rather see him with her than with Audrey!

I wonder if the SIL will tell Jack the kid is his son…🤷

Ya gotta love how Jack left the psych dude unharmed so that he could pull an alarm!

Jack makes a lot of promises. I would never trust him on one, though. Even when he’s sincere, he’s likely to get sidetracked, captured, or otherwise find himself preoccupied whereby he can’t fulfull it.

In previews for the next show the one fellow ‘kinda’ looks like Tony but I don’t think it was him.

That was a surprising twist. I absolutely loved Tom’s facial expressions as the VP confessed. Priceless!

No one will take the fall and Bill will go back to work.

It’s the only clean way to allow Nadia to pair up with Milo in the end - after she mouns the loss of Doyle. gag

Shhhh…no jinxes! 😛

I don’t think he’ll drink and get fired. He seemed rather in control in all that. Guess this is the writer’s way of letting us know Morris won’t be in the movie or next season. He’ll transfer out once Bill gets back.
Jack’s SIL—looks like she’s going after Jack. I’d rather see him with her than with Audrey!
Yeah. But bringing her dad back only gives Jack more reason to fight for Audrey. Still, I think it was meant to give any Jack/Audrey fans a head’s up that they won’t be getting back together any time soon.

Gotta say I did not like having new characters introduced this late in the game (the lobbyist guy).

How much ya wanna bet that Tony is the guy the Chinese dude gets to fix that chip?

I’ve only seen season two. I like it, but Bauer is invincible and its sometimes pretty funny how he can just run away from having been impaled and having had his heart stop.
