"24" Any fans left?

Can’t say that I’m surprised. The season started out well, but does anyone think that they entirely switched writers halfway through and brought in some of the “7th Heaven” writers? That’s the only way I can explain going from “action and suspense” to “let’s see how many conflicted couples we can cram in each episode- hey, remember how popular Tony and Michelle were? Let’s do that again.” And how many characters have they butchered so far? Let’s see: Secretary Heller, Chloe, Martha Logan, Curtis… Speaking of, what ever happened with the Logans? How about Curtis? Or Sandra Palmer’s boyfriend? I’m sure we won’t find out. :confused:

DH and I are “24” lemmings, so we’ll keep watching, but it’s gotten to the point where I can get up and leave the room for 10 minutes during an episode and not miss anything important. Not good.
 
Yeah. I feel the same as SeekerJen. I’ll watch until the end, but it’s just not as good this season. It used to be that I was glued to the seat, afraid that I might miss something. Now, I’ll go down and do a little laundry, or wash up dishes, take phone calls…and I don’t seem to miss too much!
It stepped up a little last night, but I find it absolutely incredible that the Chinese were able to infiltrate CTU. I’m trying to put that aside, but it’s a tough one to swallow…even for me, one of the last fans left standing!
I’m wondering why Jack’s dad wants Josh? Any ideas? Perhaps I did miss something when I went down to put clothes in dryer…?
I was somewhat stunned that Miles was killed like that. I wonder if it’s some type of protocol NOT to reveal who the person in charge is. It seems that Nadia is a bit wimpy, if she just was too frightened to step up. However, it does clear the way for her and Mike to have a little something going on…
I can’t believe that will be the end of Audrey. Morris and Chloe…I think Morris is going to be killed or something. I’ve just got a gut feeling.

Well, if anyone watched last night…what’s your take?
 
I really enjoy the show! never miss it…and well some episodes are better than others but its still one of the best on tv, oh yes, and some of the ones you think are gone, aren’t;)

Don’t think its going to be the end of some but I still think the boy is Jacks.

I also think Josh is Jack’s son! Oh aimee…don’t keep me hanging…who is it that is coming back??? PLEASE say Tony!!!
I did love that Jack was able to kill at least 6 bad guys when he was freed from the holding cell. He almost got away, too. I wonder if Morris is going to save the day…maybe that’s how he’ll die? Maybe the Chinese want him to re-work the circuit board, and THIS time, he won’t do it and will destroy it or something.

I think its Tony…but I’m not sure:eek:

There are 2 hrs left…wonder if the next episode will be a 2 hr special.?
 
Jack’s dad is just pure evil. I hope the boy gets his hands on a gun and shoots the SOB good and dead! Too bad he didn’t sacrifice his mom and try to escape. They’ll probably kill her, anyway,
 
would you be able to do that? Also, what talent could the boy possibly have? The only thing it could be is a ransom of some sort. Knowing this he had no reason to try and hide and let his mother die. Besides, like they said, they would have caught him eventually.
 
One wonders if this season will resolve or merely leave lots of questions unanswered. Somehow, I’m betting that the boy will be taken away to China with grandpa. Jack will give chase and find himself there again. Mom will die. Morris will give himself up to be shot. Chloe will have a nervous breakdown. And we’re headed for nuclear war when the Russian’s retaliate.

Next season should be interesting. But I still think that they’ve jumped shark.

I don’t know how it’ll turn out but I enjoy the show…isn’t the next episode a two hr ?
 
Well, the 2 hour finale is on tonight. Any guesses as to how this thing is going to turn out??? Who will live…who won’t. Any surprise “visitors” from previous seasons coming on?

All I know is in spite of his being “deceased” on the “24” website, I truly think Tony Almeida is going to show up and he and Jack are going to go globe hopping chasing Jack’s dad.We have only scratched the surface of the nuclear suitcases.

So when is season 6 going to make it to DVD? We’re on Season 4 disc 3 tonight 🙂 This could be a “dangerous” thread for me to read if I want any surprises!

I was soooo hoping you were right, Kathy (about Tony). Oh well. It was a pretty good ending all in all. I wont spoil it for those who haven’t watched yet. I really can’t figure out how everything will start out next season.
 
All in all, a so-so season. Apparently the Chinese will continue to be the focus for next year…I wonder if it will be for the movie, too. I was hoping this season would spur interest in the movie but right now I’m not inclined to pay $8-10 to see the movie, whereas last season I would have. The writers/producers need to be concerned about how much longer to carry this on.

Morris, of course. Earlier on in the show he and Miles were volleying barbs over her and she made it clear she chose Morris. Since two years have passed since last season when Morris and Chloe would have reconciled (it was obvious that season that she was done with Miles) we have to know that Chloe would not be sleeping with anyone else but Morris.
 
Well, they left themselves a fairly clean slate for next year. Theoretically, just about anyone but Jack could be gone. And who knows what the crisis will be. Chinese? Likely, but not necessarily.
