Lynn’s arrival to CTU L.A. showed his reputation preceded him…apparently he’s sent to a variety of locations to ‘clean house’ and tighten the ships…so it would not be surprising to see his name come up on lists of high-level clearance officials within the government.
Now, we already know these terrorists are very, very well connected with real people in high places and with technology so how hard would it really be for them to notice how often Lynn’s name pops up and at so many locations…and then to target in on finding any vulnerabilities to him when he’s got a drugged out sister?

I finally got around to watching last week’s “24” and although I knew what was going to happen, I wasn’t prepared for Edgar’s pitiful “Chloe??” wailing. And the look that passed between the two of them was absolutely priceless!

Ok people…why hasn’t anyone brought up the president’s wife’s move on Pierce!!!
If anything threw me for a loop it was that…where did it come from?
I love how the acting/lines do not make it clear whether or not Pierce was apologizing to Mike for not stopping her or for responding to her.
And that’s the real question -
did you get the impression Pierce was receptive to her move or
totally uncomfortable - not knowing how to respond at all?
I honestly couldn’t tell and I wonder if that’s going to go anywhere in this story.

I could see it as believable - after seeing that the pres is such a wimp of a man and pays her no mind. But Aaron, on the other hand, is pure man displaying bravery and loyalty.
Well, I think Pierce was very unconfortable even if he wanted to be receptive. I don’t think he knew how to respond. But I couldn’t tell if he wanted to respond or not. He did seem a bit flattered but that doesn’t quite mean the same thing as receptive. I wouldn’t be surprised that he was quite relieved that Mike appeared when he did.
I think that’s probably how Mike read the situation. Otherwise he would have had gotten rid of Pierce.
I’m guessing this will come up again later. But that doesn’t mean there will be an affair. This incident may be the means of somebody blackmailing somebody or not trusting someone when they should.

That was my take too…that she was overcome with gratitude that it’s making her starstruck a bit…
and then poor Pierce…what’s he supposed to do?
But he did have that deer in the headlights expression when Mike came in…
Yet that headlight look could just as easily be explained as recognizing the compromising position the ‘appearance’ of what Mike saw was, and for a man of Pierce’s integrity - that’s reason enough to have that expression on one’s face.
I’m hoping that’s all it was.
I could have sworn two seasons ago that Pierce was married or something…I vaguely recall Palmer asking about his family…but I could be wrong.

By the way, how predictible (and embarrassingly so) was Tony and Henderson being in the same room?!?!?
That was quite a stretch the writers had to take to make that happen…I wish they hadn’t gone there…
Oh, and how cool was it when Jack shot Henderson’s wife’s leg! That expression on the actresses face was perfect!!!

Wow, GREAT insight WRT to the situation between Pierce and the first lady. I initially just read it as a sincere situation of two people who recognized the genuineness of the other as opposed to the President’s ineptitude and constant caving. They were being bonded by a common experience of stress. But, indeed, maybe this will be Mike’s trump card at some point and perhaps it alludes to something more signifigant upcoming.

And, in light of our specualtion regarding the first lady and Aaron, the president’s question to her about whether she was still with him may have been even more telling. Perhaps we are looking too far into this one, but I have to think that there is at least an intended subtext, even if nothing more comes of it. Really, this show is quite excellently written!
