Sorry I am only female in houston.St. Louis…hmmmm…only a short train ride away!
It is just as hard being a single catholic women. I have dated me who aren’t catholic and they respect the chaste issue but the relationships always start to tumble when I realize that God isn’t as pervelant in their life as i want/wish it to be in mine.
What i mean is i like to go to bible study on wednesday night and tuesday nights i like to go to daily mass with my young adult group and most of my friends are catholic and so we might get into a discussion over dinner about whether what the pope said was truely ex-cathra or not. I do not push my religion on to them but I try to included God in my life. Yes i fail everyday because i am a sinner but I try to do better, I want to learn more about him, i want to please him and I desire him more than anyone else. If i feel that a guy has no desire to persure or learn more about his being a child of God then i know he is not for me. I want a man who is faithful. Who will push me in my relationship with God and will walk with me on my journey just as i will support him on his own journey.
My only answer is to get lots of catholic friends because even if you don’t hook up with them then maybe they have a friend that you might meet who is your match. It’s happened to me. i had two guy friends and 2 girl friends who I introduced to each other and now both couples are getting ready to walk down the isle. Come to Houston- i’ll hook you up!
