I kept saying that Trump would self destruct, but now I’m not too sure. I for one am sick of the circus atmosphere. I want him to go away. Soon.
I didn’t say there were terrorist attacks in the U.S. that have left thousands dead, but there have been random attacks throughout the country which the Obama administration has been reluctant to calling acts of teeeorism. And GW kept us safe after 9/11. They know Obama is a weak president so the world has been less safe since Bush left office and Obama was elected. A terrorist attack can kill one person or two persons or ten or 20 or 50. It doesn’t have to be thousands to be called a terrorist attack. Remember the Boston Marathon bombing and the soldiers killed at the military base in Texas? I wish I could list every single attack. There have been plenty.
yeah Obama has come close to doing that already!
911 is being discussed, remember that guy named Osama Bin Laden who the Clintons let go and 911 happened I guess, about 9 months after Bush took office. If anyone wants to say that was Bush’s fault, they can but I think that is grossly unfair. Gutted Security allowed that to happen.
I agree, I don’t think Carly Fiorina can go the “long haul,” either.I don’t think so either.

Christie and Rubio are my favorites. Carson is third, but he needs to pick things up a bit. Right now I Christie and Rubio getting stronger.
I guess you and I are the only two people here - so far - who don’t like Carly Fiorina. I can’t stand her, mostly for the reasons you gave. I cannot see her as vice-president, let alone president. I can’t see her in politics. I can’t even see her in business any more after she nearly destroyed HP.I don’t like Fiorina. First of all, they complain because Trump mentioned something about her looks. But why was it OK when Fiorina attacked how Barbara Boxer looked in 2010? It seems hypocritical for her to attack the way Barbara Boxer looked, but it is not OK for Trump to do the same to her.
Further, she seemed very scripted and inauthentic. She memorized her lines all right, but she seems to me to be just repeating what someone else told her to say. And she comes across as very rude, interrupting everyone as she pleases. The facts show that she was a total disaster at HP, with the HP shares losing 42%. As soon as they fired her, the stock jumped up 7%. And how many HP workers did she fire? Was it 30,000?
In an article about worst CEOs in USA Today in 2005, Yale business Professor Jeffrey Sonnenfeld said that Fiorina was the worst CEO “because of her ruthless attack on the essence of this great company. … She destroyed half the wealth of her investors and yet still earned almost $100 million in total payments for this destructive reign of terror.”
Can you see her as President of the USA? I suspect that the establishment is building her up to attack Trump who they do not want to be President. But they don’t want Fiorina either. I think they want Bush or some other moderate candidate.
This was my first time to see Carly in action. I guess you could say I am lukewarm with her right now. I am not crazy about her. I wish she could soften up a bit. Her face looked all pinched up.I guess you and I are the only two people here - so far - who don’t like Carly Fiorina. I can’t stand her, mostly for the reasons you gave. Regarding Trump’s statement, I think she looks fine, attractive, but I agree with you, it was very hypocritical of her to take offense at Trump’s statement when she criticized Barbara Boxer! As for a Carly/Hillary debate, I think Hillary would mop the floor with Carly, whether people agreed with Hillary or not. Hillary has been in politics a long time, especially if you count the years she manipulated Bill (to some extent). She’s also very pushy and has no qualms about talking over another person, interrupting, etc.
I think Chris Christie will one of those with staying power, but I’m not good at predicting political things.
Obamacare and his immigration policies alone are enough to do that! Eight more years of “more of the same” and many of us would be broke.yeah Obama has come close to doing that already!
She did look rather pinched. I don’t want to be uncharitable, but I think it was due to cosmetic surgery. I don’t know when people will learn cosmetic surgery doesn’t make them look better or younger, it just makes them look like people who’ve had cosmetic surgery. However, I don’t care who has it or how much they have. It’s a personal choice. This was my first time to see Carly in action. I guess you could say I am lukewarm with her right now. She is not in my top 5.
I agree with you about Ben Carson. He has dignity, grace, and intelligence. He just needs to be a little more assertive to stay in the race.Guess I’ll chime in too. To me, Bush and Christie did better than I thought they would. I found Carson’s answers thoughtful and pretty right-on. His dignity and grace should take him into the future (but anyone who has been on CAF very long knows how I feel about the electorate). I thought Rubio did very well and Kasich showed his experience and accomplishments. That SHOULD carry him forward, but then again we have Trump. As far as I am concerned, Trump turns me totally off. He is a loud-mouthed braggard who never tells us just how he plans to accomplish the things he says he will. I don’t think he has the temperament to lead this nation and he lacks class.
I was disappointed in Walker. I think he should be in the top tier, but others obviously don’t agree. Fiorina did a good job and her goal (as stated by her) was to introduce herself to the voters as she rose into the top tier. I think she did that and I think she seemed knowledgeable in her answers. I did not think she sounded like she had memorized her responses as some suggested. I would like to know more about her time at HP and not just assume she went in a wrecked the company. Yes, she fired people. Was that necessary to help the bottom line, or what? She is no dummy.
I’ve traveled a lot and lived overseas and I don’t think we’re more superficial than anyone else. We have Trump and the Italians have Berlusconi, what’s the difference?22.9 viewers for the debate. Trump is driving the media frenzy - as long as he gets ratings the media will play to him. And I do think it skews the race - to the disadvantage of the serious candidates, on both sides for that matter; and also it is not in the best interests of the country. If foreigners ever wonder why Americans are so superficial - in all fairness it is pretty hard to be anything else here - a full time, lonely job.
So do the one in three Republicans who actually support the man to run the free world.Trump is suffering from a narcissistic personality disorder and deserves our prayers.
There are experts on the pros and cons Trump has brought in to the race,I’ve traveled a lot and lived overseas and I don’t think we’re more superficial than anyone else. We have Trump and the Italians have Berlusconi, what’s the difference?

Bush bears responsibility for the 9/11 attacks, but there were some contributing factors to the success of the attack that exposed a lot of deep seated issues festering long before his oath of office. Factors such as incompetent leadership and bad practices in the military, government agencies too competitive to collaborate in any meaningful way, etc.I didn’t realize the 3000 was referring to 9/11.
I would say the Clinton administration dropped the ball on Osama Bin Laden. The terrorist acts that took place on 9/11 took planning.
They didn’t start planning these attacks after Bush was innaugurated.
Clinton was in office for 8 years and I think the first World Trade Center bombing happened in '93 correct? How come Clinton didn’t prevent that attack? I agree that it is unfair to constantly blame Bush for what happened on 9/11.
People seem to find wrong with everything Trump does, he is too much under a microscope, his star may be waning now. I think so a bit, it does not mean it necessarily will.Trump takes heat for not correcting man who called Obama Muslim, not American

I don’t know enough about her to even know if she has had plastic surgery. I did not know if that was her tough look because she was the only woman on stage with 10 other candidates who were all men.She did look rather pinched. I do like Chris Christie. I saw him interviewed the next morning, too, and liked him even more. And I like Rubio.
