Watering the tree of liberty with the blood of children for gun owners to fantasize about being the one to stop a tyrannical government…
Sure killing the tree of liberty would be just fine by you.
That’s exactly what the NARAL ProChoice America folks say. You guys must use the same talking points writer.

First Civil War didn’t work out so well for Democrats. Looking to even the score?

Considering how much NARAL types like to refer to Christian as terrorists, a better case can be for your side using the same writer.
The opponents of liberty believe it is only okay for government to have guns, even though government kills exponentially more citizens than citizens do
A law abiding American with a shotgun scares them more than North Korea or Iran with nukes. At least while Trump is President.

My side is with Jesus!

NARAL, a progressive Democrat organization, believes killing the unborn is a right. People who believe in the right to keep and bear arms do not believe killing people is a right.
The people who believe as NARAL does are the same people who believed it was fine for the government to kill Charles Gard and Alfie Evans.

Nice try, but NARAL and the NRA both demand unfettered access to instruments of death, regardless of the cost to innocent lives, on the basis of constitutionally protected rights. This might surprise you, but the self defense justification is invoked by both sides as well.

I am uncompromisingly ProLife and do not think the tragic natural death of either of those children applies here. They were not poisoned or overdosed, but allowed to die as God willed it to be. Catholic morality does not require families to keep the body of a loved one alive by artificial means.

You being an NRA members more than likely means you won’t murder someone with your gun.
That is good. What is not so good is helping those that will murder children get a gun more readily.

Thoughts and Prayers are not going to bring these loved ones back.

Thoughts and Prayers will not prevent it from happening again, much less prevented it from happening in the first place.
you don’t think the victims or families need prayer?
It would be funny if it were not so sad and tragic.
would any legislation have stopped this from happenoing?
it’s the governmental and administrative policies that are to blame.
our subjective morality society is to be blamed. when we don’t allow God in school, the devil fills the void.

The question is not relevant. Thoughts do nothing. Prayer can avail much, in this we must have faith. However, that faith without action is dead. To quote James:

What good is it, my brothers and sisters, if someone claims to have faith but has no deeds? Can such faith save them? Suppose a brother or a sister is without clothes and daily food. If one of you says to them, “Go in peace; keep warm and well fed,” but does nothing about their physical needs, what good is it? In the same way, faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by action, is dead.

I haven’t seen any protests for banning the instruments used by doctors, even by those of us who oppose abortion. Why? Because it isn’t the instruments or tools that kill. It’s the people.
Guns and doctor’s instruments are not “instruments of death” unless the human using them makes them so.

It could be argued that if one believes law abiding citizens should not be allowed to have civilian firearms then one is not prolife, because far more often than used illegally to harm someone, people use arms to protect their own life or the lives of others.

Absolutely agree about the Tree of Liberty! A relatively few high schoolers deaths per year is a necessary price to pay for us to keep our guns. These kids were martyrs for our cause. God bless them and their families. 🇺🇸
Non sequitur. Liberty is harmed by the killing of the innocent. We can see this with the current debate. Children being harmed and killed by a person illegally using a firearm is the backdrop for progressives to try and take this particular right away from those who do not break the law.
As leftist Rahm Emanuel has aptly said: “You never want a serious crisis to go to waste. And what I mean by that is an opportunity to do things that you think you could not do before.”. In this case, deny a right to the law abiding that might stand in the way of greater government power.
These kids were martyrs for our cause. God bless them and their families.
Those kids died because of the heinous act of one person, and perhaps the negligence of another. That’s all. It has nothing to do with rights.

They were not poisoned or overdosed, but allowed to die as God willed it to be. Catholic morality does not require families to keep the body of a loved one alive by artificial means.
They were denied care, and in one instance, nutrition.
In both instances the families were denied the right to make the choice to keep the child alive or not by artificial means.

Inferences to civil war do not help the cause in this case. We are no where near that. Long before a need for resistance, states that believe in rights could just declare themselves sanctuary states for Americans to exercise their inherent right to keep and bear arms.

I agree with this, if by it you mean, frankly, it isn’t the guns. There has been something going wrong with American culture since the 1960’s.
I think the sentiment that “God is not allowed in schools” vaguely speaks to the problem.
We are less and less a moral, good people. We are more and more hedonistic and self centered. Our children believe that “rights “ are given, usually by government, that part of my rights is the right not to be “offended “, and that others cannot judge our actions and words.
If a culture rejects the basic principles of the Ten Commandments, even if we limit it to the last 8, society begins to break down.
In short, we are becoming less and less good.

I think you You are spot on here.
Someone mentioned that the father didn’t secure his arms. That’s true, but on what moral principle did the shooter deem it allowable to take the lives of others in this way? Why was the father not aware enough of the child’s mental state?

These are just questions, but they relate back to your main point.
