He is in charge of the FAA, Customs, CDC, Transportation, FEMA, and on and on. He has the ability to declare a national emergency and use the emergency powers act.

Not saying that local and state don’t have a role, but they certainly can’t stop international travel, don’t control who is admitted to the country, don’t have control of the federal response by the CDC, HHS.

NY isn’t the only state which didn’t take measures. Did you ignore FL keeping their beaches open until 2 weekends ago.

“I know better than anyone else” Know anyone who says that frequently? I do. Just heard it.
 
Radio Free Asia estimates China’s death toll at 400,000 from the virus.

China claims that zero Chinese people died of Wuhan virus in March 2020. Zero. No one believes that. There are credible reports that incinerators are running 24/7 and that several thousand urns for ashes have been delivered to each of the 7 state-approved funeral homes in Wuhan. 1 site that has written extensively on this is americanthinker.com.

China is a communist nation that cannot be reliably trusted to tell the truth about anything.

The Chinese hate - HATE - Donald Trump. Both Bushes, Clinton and Obama were all outmaneuvered by them, but Trump has repeatedly turned the tables on them, to the point that 3 months ago their economy was essentially in a depression and the US economy was booming.
China would love to reverse that and their government would much prefer Joe Biden be the next president. There is a very interesting article on americanthinker today going into a bit more detail on this.

Wouldn’t put a whole lot of stock in what comes off of the american thinker website.

They and their founder have repeatedly been proven to put out false information.

I am not claiming the numbers out of China are correct, but all figures are estimates. We may never really know how many have died.
 
Hoax is an awfully strong word.

Can you point to a single item that site has published that has been discredited by a reputable source.

My wife’s been working 16 hour shifts at her hospital. A husband and wife died the same day. If you like I’ll PM you some of the details.

Calling it a hoax is insulting.
 
And the numbers of the infected is doubling every 2-3 days, as is the death toll.

A “complete hoax?” I’ll ask again - isn’t that an overstep?
 
My wife’s hospital is. They have a refrigerated tractor trailer in the parking lot to hold the bodies.

Some folks think the holocaust was a hoax and a lie too.

I’ll say to you what I’ve said to others: if you really think this is a hoax, would you be willing to walk through the covid ward of a hospital?

But David…as i said, the death toll is doubling every 2-3 days. That’s not a matter of debate either.

But so we’re clear, how many deaths constitute “not a complete hoax?”

Please provide a link to them saying hospitals are largely empty with 2 or 3 patients inside.
 
So one million deaths would still be a complete hoax then?

And just to go a step further, since you seem quite sure of yourself, I’d be curious how you’d answer these:
  1. Is AIDS a complete hoax?
  2. Was US involvement in WWI a complete hoax (because about 50,000 US soldiers died in WWI)?
  3. How about WWII? US fatalities were 338,000. Was that a hoax?
  4. Is cancer a hoax? Assuming you will say no…what’s your criteria for saying so?
 
No, you made the comment, you provide your source. I am not going on a wild goose chase looking for your statistics. You show it.
 
Dear, you are warching too much FOX NEWS & believing in baseless Conspiracy theories. It is not a BIO-WEAPON from China. Italian scientists now investigate on possible EARLIER emergence of coronavirus. Your “hero” President downplayed the COVID-19 pandemic spread and talked about stocks and economy after warnings from his adviser as if he did not hear anything. Please refrain from postings allegations that are outright false and ignorant. Thanks.

Now, I’d like to go further. What makes it a hoax? Are you saying AIDS just…doesn’t exist? Or it’s a hoax till it kills (not infects, kills) a certain number of people?

So you don’t want to talk about war. OK, let’s talk other things.
  1. Is diabetes a hoax? Why or why not?
  2. How about, say, ulcerative colitis? Is that a hoax? How about chrons disease?

You are free to believe whatever you want. Unfortunately, you and others like you will be taking no precautions against transmitting this disease and will be responsible for more deaths. So what if you have a cough and feel a little fluey. Why not visit the old folks in the home? Why not get a few of the ol’ boys together for a poker night? Why not throw that birthday party and have a few dozen people around?

It’ll be a bit late when the death toll is north of a quater of a million to say - hey, I guess I might have been wrong.
