Doesn’t the Bible say you need to Repent and be baptized?

Is it EXCLUSIVELY and restricted for adults? Where does it say it?

** Can a infant repent? **

And can a infant take a shower? Or does the infant need to be an ADULT to comprenhend the necessity of a shower?

And did not Paul BAPTIZE households? Since when has households exlcuded children and infants?

The indications are clear. In the New Testament we read that Lydia was converted by Paul’s preaching and that “She was baptized, with her household” (Acts 16:15). The Philippian jailer whom Paul and Silas had converted to the faith was baptized that night along with his household. We are told that “the same hour of the night . . . he was baptized, with all his family” (Acts 16:33). And in his greetings to the Corinthians, Paul recalled that, “I did baptize also the household of Stephanas” (1 Cor. 1:16).

In all these cases, whole households or families were baptized. This means more than just the spouse; the children too were included.

If the text of Acts referred simply to the Philippian jailer and his wife, then we would read that “he and his wife were baptized,” but we do not. Thus his children must have been baptized as well. The same applies to the other cases of household baptism in Scripture.

Baptism originally in judaism is related to cleansing, usually cleansing a person who has become ritually unclean.

John the baptist, baptized to clean the person spiritually and morally.

The Church baptizes to cleanse us of “original” sin.

If one believes original sin prevents us from being with God, then an unbaptized person is sinful in the eyes of God and is not saved.

However, with all things God, God is just too, and so while we cannot be certain of the fate of unbaptized infants, we can be certain of the mercy and justice of God, meaning to say - whilst it is God’s will that will be done, I have faith that God will act in mercy and justice towards these infants.

Are you able to answer a direct question with a direct answer?

answer the question without asking questions.

Nice try. It was answered so go back and read it again.

Now answer me,where does it say it is EXCLUSIVELY and restricted to adults ONLY?

Has it ever occured to you those baptized ADULTS were converts since they were not ‘cradle’ Christians yet?

Even New Testament books which were written later in the first century, during the time when children were raised in the first Christian homes, we never—not even once—find an example of a child raised in a Christian home who is baptized only upon making a “decision for Christ.”

Now show me where it is EXCLUSIVELY and restricted for decision-making adults?

How do you repent for original sin Rev, because that is the sin baptism cleans you off.

So tell me, what are you going to do to repent for original sin?

And more importantly does every single person have to repent for the sin that Adam committed?

Unbelievable! Did not Paul say he BAPTIZED HOUSEHOLDS? What part do you not like? The fact it does not say: I ONLY baptized the adults who made a confession and repented.

You are sounding like a parrot, the more it is clear you cannot admit no where does Scripture explicitly state it is restricted for decision-making adults is it?

I did answer the question- you cannot repent for original sin.

No one can, not an adult nor an infant.

Did you read my original post, you will then understand the purpose of baptism.

The problem with you new age christians is that you are 1600 years removed from Christ, by your rejection of the traditions of the Church.

It a simple yes or no

I DO NOT THINK SO! It has been answered numerous times,so how about swallowing your PRIDE and answer my question:

Where does scripture explcitly restrict baptism for ONLY adults who can reason?

It a simple yes or no

It is amazing how I can turn around apply your own words towards yourself.

It is a simpe yes or no.

BTW: Tell me what part of St.Paul’s words you do not like when he clearly says: HOUSEHOLDS…He did not say: ONLY the adults.

An adult cannot repent for original sin, neither can a baby. In fact none of us can.

I don’t need to worry about original sin that has been taken care of.
Does it not say Repent and be baptized? Yes or No
Where does it say in the Bible “original sin?”

I don’t need to worry about original sin that has been taken care of.
Really? how and by whom?

And if it has been taken care of, was it “auto-magically” taken care of for every living person?

Why then even have christianity as a religion?

You are quickly my friend going over the deep end, better you stop yourself and repent your heresy now.

There are many examples of adults being baptized there is not one example of a infant being baptized.

I still didn’t hear a yes or no

rev, its obvious a baby cannot repent for original sin, no one can.

Not one of us can do that.

The price is paid, and baptism is the process by which we are “cleansed” of that sin.
