freedomm, your fellow Muslim in the original message said NO other muslims were to respond to his/her question. What part of
‘A question TO THE CHRISTIAN’ in the title of this thread do you not understand?

Not to mention that your post has nothing to do with the topic anyway and is incredibly repetitious as are all your posts.
Dear LilyM:

I JUST DELETED MY BOTH POSTS.

Now please respond to the OP, but OBJECTIVELY and I will just watch.

Sorry for interruption.

Everything was fine. Until the muslims got us off track. Don’t blame us for this one.

"What objective proof you have that Jesus is the son of God?"

My only responce is on the Faith of our Martyr’s…

“Father Forgive them for they know not what they do…”

Early Christian martyrs
  • Saint Stephen was stoned and some 2,000 other Christians suffered at the time of Stephen’s persecution.
  • James the Great (Son of Zebedee) was beheaded in 44 A.D.
  • Philip was crucified in 54 A.D.
  • Matthew killed by a halberd in 60 A.D.
  • James the Just, beaten to death by a club after being crucified and stoned.
  • Matthias was stoned and beheaded.
  • Saint Andrew, St. Peter’s brother, was crucified.
  • Mark was beaten to death.
  • Peter, Saint Peter, crucified upside-down.
  • Paul, Apostle Paul, beheaded in Rome.
  • Jude was crucified.
  • Bartholomew was crucified.
  • Thomas, was killed by a spear.
  • Luke was hanged.
  • Simon was crucified in 74 A.D.
  • John the Evangelist was cooked in boiling hot oil but survived and died of old age circa 110 A.D.

Indeed, like our religions history. Everything was one… until… one man… claimed to be a prophet of god… 😃 😃

I am my father’s son, does that mean I am my father?

yeah just like I thought… this thread would turn into a Islam bashing thread and some Muslim would respond…blah forget it…
I bashed no one, do you then lump me in that group since this is the only response to my post you have given?

Btw, as our Muslim friends have kindly pointed out, lots of people apart from Jesus are called ‘Son of God’ in the Bible - it’s better to quote, for example, from John where Jesus says ‘the Father and I are one’.

i think it’s better to quote the parable of the wicked tenants:
“Hear another parable. There was a landowner who planted a vineyard, 27 put a hedge around it, dug a wine press in it, and built a tower. Then he leased it to tenants and went on a journey.
34
When vintage time drew near, he sent his servants 28 to the tenants to obtain his produce.
35
But the tenants seized the servants and one they beat, another they killed, and a third they stoned.
36
Again he sent other servants, more numerous than the first ones, but they treated them in the same way.
37
**Finally, he sent his son to them, thinking, ‘They will respect my son.’ ** 38
29 But when the tenants saw the son, they said to one another, ‘This is the heir. Come, let us kill him and acquire his inheritance.’
39
30 They seized him, threw him out of the vineyard, and killed him.
40
What will the owner of the vineyard do to those tenants when he comes?”
41
They answered 31 him, “He will put those wretched men to a wretched death and lease his vineyard to other tenants who will give him the produce at the proper times.”
42
32 Jesus said to them, “Did you never read in the scriptures: ‘The stone that the builders rejected has become the cornerstone; by the Lord has this been done, and it is wonderful in our eyes’?
43
33 Therefore, I say to you, the kingdom of God will be taken away from you and given to a people that will produce its fruit.
44
( 34 The one who falls on this stone will be dashed to pieces; and it will crush anyone on whom it falls.)”

This is what convinced me that Jesus’ claim to be God was true. His followers believed to the point that they were willing to undergo horrendous torture and death rather than recant, and they passed that conviction on to others who had never seen or heard Jesus.

Why claim Martyrs when they are so many other martyrs in every other religion?

These martyrs have died for professing Christ. They have died at the hands of others.

Not their own hands such as a sucide bomber would.

There is a difference.

The topic is objective proof other than the bible thats what people are posting about.

no sane Muslim considers the suicide bombers an Islamic martyr… maybe Palestinian martyr… not Islamic one

ok then a Palestinian martyr but they are not because they chose to take their own life so they are not a martyr in the same way.

what religions have been killed because the person believed their God. Like a christian saying they believe in Christ and ending up with the Lions, or recently almost killed until the courts stepped in.

Remember ONLY for saying they believe in their God and being killed for it. Im curious.

THe Ethinikoi of the roman Empire were persecuted for only saying they believed in gods.

the jews, muslims, were persecuted by Christians…

hindus were persecuted by Muslims for a brief period of time in the Mughal Empire…

muslims are persecuted in parts of india til this day…

Christians are persecuted by Muslims all over the world yesterday, today, and no doubt in the future. Yet the Muslims seem rather comfortable with the notion. But when they encounter resistance, oh my that’s just terrible. Dhimmi shouldn’t fight back, oh no.

Sorry I’ve taken so long to come back to you, LOL, I have a life apart fro CAF.

There are many other religions and many other people who have ben willing to be martyred for those religions.

BUT…

there is only One religion where the principal figure - Jesus - claims to be GOD

I didn’t have any objective proof, just went on faith, but…

Lately, the more I see in Scripture, the more everything seems tied together. Over thousands of years. How did whoever wrote about Abraham taking his son up on the mountain to sacrifice him know how much like the death of Jesus that would be? (It was Abraham’s only son, the boy carried the wood for the fire up the mountain himself, the ram that was sacrificed instead was found in a thicket, like the thorns on Jesus head)
There are so many other “coincidences” that I think many are not coincidences at all.
So, when the Bible points to Jesus as the Son of God, I believe it because the Bible seems trustworthy.
There are also miracles through the ages and in recent times.

my question is:

"What objective proof you have that Jesus is the son of God?"
Hi Muslim,

I need no **objective proof **to believe that Jesus is the Son of God 😃 Besides, we need objective evidence for those who DON’T believe the way we do. Sorry to say, I don’t like your question, neither do I believe that you are posing it with sincerity 🙂

Still, please take some pains to answer my question below. If you can answer it without resorting to the Bible or the Quran and bring an objective proof, I shall be able to answer your question 😉

“What objective proof you have that Jesus is NOT the Son of God?”

Please remember that I don’t need your opinion since it cannot be objective.

Salaam,
Angelos
