A question to the Christian

Muslims assume we have no basis for believing Jesus is the Son of God. They pose these questions for the sake of making us doubt our faith. It’s like if a Christian was witnessing to a Muslim, and asked why they think Muhammad is a prophet.

It’s obvious they’re trying to convert us.
fact is, Muslims are taught that Allah gave Jesus a gospel that disappeared off the planet and that the early Christians believed in that gospel ( which is supposed to have taught what Muhammad said) until Christians corrupted the Bible.

It does not dawn on Muslims that Jesus had the Torah and nothing else and that the NT is simply the testimony of how Jesus fulfilled the Torah.

The bible as you may well remember is a collection of several writings from many different authors which spans a great period of time. It is an historical book as anyone that has read it can tell. The bible is known world wide as the greatest book ever written and has sold more than any book in history. We then have billions of people, past and present who would agree that it is an historical book among others. Among these readers are scientists, scholars and religious of all faiths. A great many of them agree that Jesus Christ was the Son of God and is God Almighty himself. One God but of three persons with the same nature. Just as water can exist as a solid, a liquid and as a gas, so God exists as the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. We also know that Christ was and is God by the many miracles that he did. Raising the dead, forgiving sins and healings of the blind and the lame. These all pale in comparison to the greatest act of all time. God becoming flesh and shedding his holy blood to save all mankind. He is not just the God of the Christians or the Jews but God of all mankind. His Son, who is God in the Holy Trinity, gave his life for you, out of love for you, desiring that all men be saved. There is no archaeological evidence of his body because it was raised in glory. You will find no bones of his remains as they are in heaven. What you will find is the steadfast belief in Him as the living God, known by millions and millions of people for 2,000 years. This is our history, this is our belief and we need no more.

The Qu’ran? 👍
Ok I have to be honest here and say that the Qu’ran was written way after the OT and the NT. Logically it’s a fallacy. To claim Mohammed is the law of the land and ignore the teachings that were brought by the Jews and Jesus seem to be a backward form of Math. For Instance you just can’t say ICE is ICE and ignore the fact that water formed the ice. It is crazyspeak.

this is sort of like a followup of me and exoflares discussion last night…but its reverse now…

the rules are similar… please NO MUSLIMS respond to this thread…you can pm me ifyou got suggestions but PLEASE do NOT respond as it would just make the thread go off topic…

also, if you are ignorant and vulgar, please do NOT respond… this is for cest, inJesus, murtad and few others who know who they are… this is for open minded discussion and this has NOTHING to do with Islam…

my question is:

"What objective proof you have that Jesus is the son of God?"

If by “proof” you mean “something to which no exception can possibly be taken, which is empirically verifiable by sceptics” - none 🙂 Which is just as it should be.

That sort of proof may be appropriate for the sciences - it has no place in religious experience; the sciences, & the Christian’s knowledge of Christ, are two different kinds of knowledge, gained in two different ways; by reason, & by revelation. “Different” does not mean “inferior” - it means “different.” If God were a piffling little idol, proof of the “scientific” type would be possible. God is no idol - God is God; so it’s not possible; & thank God for that: for a God we could test in that way, would not be God at all but a sham. If God really is better & more excellent than man, then man cannot keep tabs on Him. So God moves as He wishes, & discloses His Goodness to whom He wishes. Just as He did to St. Peter in Matthew 16 - he recognised Jesus as the Messiah, by revelation from the Father - not through any wit of his own, but by the gracious initiative & gift of God. ##

I think it is a horrible question. It approaches things from an atheistic perspective. You can’t objectively prove that mohammed was a prophet. You can’t objectively prove anything in faith. That is why it is called faith. If you want bible proof then you can read the posts above.

:amen: 👍 :yup:

I give thanks to Michael “Gottle of Geer” and his insight on this and so many other things.

Thanksgiving should be everyday. Yet, its something we sometimes need to have a day to do what we should all the time…

Because we forget who is the Only One.

I’m sorry but we all do. We all do from time to time.

We dont need a special day, we need to do what we are called for,

And now.

We are the salt and the light

we are called to be saints,

What do we end up doing?

Lord have mercy on me a sinner!
