This is inflammatory.
Of course it is inflammatory. Everyone should be outraged that the President of the United States not only would be accepting of the murder of his own grandchildren but that he would not vote for a law that would have made what this butcher did illegal.

I AM inflamed by that.

Peace

This stomach-turning to me, but needs to be pointed out:

Huffpo Editiorial: The Questions No One Is Asking About the Kermit Gosnell Case

huffingtonpost.com/kate-michelman/kermit-gosnell-abortion_b_2924348.html

Written by a former NARAL president.

Basically, it blames the pro-life community and conservatives.

It’s all YOUR fault, didn’t you know? The answer is MORE abortion, and no restrictions on the type of facilities where they are performed (which may have actually shut Gosnell down).

Just sickening!! When will things change in this country?
That is the ironic part.

Actually, part of “what this butcher did” is apparently illegal as he is being prosecuted.

Be inflamed if you want I suppose, but I’d suggest love the sinner. And try to understand that not everyone else needs to be inflamed, as that tends to foster hate rather than forgiveness or understanding.

I’m not sure why you’re conflating emotion and fact. As many have pointed out, our President has opposed legislation that created an environment where these atrocities could be committed.

Pointing this out, regardless of our personal feelings towards the President, or this issue, is not an act of “hate”.

Here’s a HuffPo editorial blaming Gosnell’s crimes on the pro-life community.

huffingtonpost.com/kate-michelman/kermit-gosnell-abortion_b_2924348.html
… you’re… you’re kidding… right… what sort of massive leap into the illogical would have him arrive at such a preposterous conclusions? I swear, it’s like they have absolutely no criteria for being a writer for that site except #1: Hate religion, #2: Be willing to write whatever you want regardless of how devoid of facts it may be…

What about cbs, abc, nbc? The mainstream media, are they covering it?

Here’s a link to a web sight with lots of info about the Gosnell case. 3801 Lancaster was the abortion clinics street address. The film on the website is very disturbing and hard to watch.

3801lancaster.com/
Make sure, before you click on the case (at the top ) of the 3801 Lancaster site (and then the report to the Grand Jury), that you pray beforehand. Then pray while reading it, take frequent breaks to pray, it is horrific. I’ve been reading it for the past few days, I am only on page 50 and there are over 200 pages. It is a nightmare and most likely will give you nightmares. Pray without ceasing.

Another place to get coverage of it is www.lifesitenews.com
You may have to do some searching on that site, because I don’t have the link available right now, but there are many articles on that site about this. It is the more than disturbing.

NO! I think ONE story on CNN. Last night on Fox they went through all the alphabet soup channels and none had covered it. Kirsten Powers apparently wrote an editorial in USA Today about the lack of coverage.

This is inflammatory. ? SamH’s take or the thing and person he has a take on?

Whether we agree or disagree about whether the choice should exist, < Coming: a point that will unite us ALL?!

with very rare exception, no one makes the choice lightly, Not sure whether “with very rare exception” meant that dancingbrook has some exceptions to abortion in mind where it should NOT be done; or whether it’s rare that those choosing to abort - choose lightly. Either way I disagree (twice).
  1. The very rare exception to abortion being totally illegal would be the unintentional losing of the child while helping save the mother’s life. And hopefully whatever efforts that can be made to “save them both” will be made.
  2. In my opinion it is NOT rare but quite often that people DO “choose lightly” to abort. Does “quite often” mean “MOST” even? I don’t know. But dancingbrook’s “no one” - seems to bestow a great deal of moral credit to people **doing **this destructive thing.
and those that choose to allow others to choose, don’t do so with a “no problem” perspective or attitude. "those that choose to allow others to choose" - I have to hand it to whoever first coined this masterpiece of implication. How can one deductively avoid the idea that these people would be “open minded, tolerant, and ever-so-much-better” than their opposite numbers (on the pro-life side)?!

AND rest assured (it looks like) they additionally have wrestled with the issue. They don’t lightly allow abortions with a “no problem” ***but … they do allow them in the end. *** Up to and including Dr. Gosnell’s cavalcade of carnage on living post-born babies? 🤷 I’d like to have more info on that wrestling - and HOW they came to the conclusion they did. If it is not enlightening intellectually - it should at least give students of abnormal psychology some case data to ponder and write theses about.

I wish all the money and energy spent attacking those who choose differently, was spent helping to keep the born alive and healthy. We MIGHT be able to AGREE here! Nice wish! Would having willing adoptees available save some babies (that WOULD be better money spent than on ads if possible). Perhaps a “ransom” for threatened-with-horrors babies could be arranged? (Sigh) I fear 'tis just a hopeless wish.

You deserve a salute for your excellent phrase " … helping to keep the born alive and healthy". < (some of us get inflamed when “born alive - then killed” is advocated though - per THIS case).

We do nothing helpful by attacking others. Attacking others didn’t seem to be Sam H’s point to me. A person who makes such statements about his grandchildren ought to be disagreed with … with some passion, acceptable.

Your disagreement with Sam H came off on paper (to me) to be “scolding”.

If scolding is OK and NOT “attacking others” - this reply is also not personal (and it’s not).

I just disagree that: THIS choice be legally allowed (and I do agree that it should be in court to determine WHAT will be allowed and WHAT is not). If the “very rare exceptions” threshold you allude to in YOUR take are exceeded (in this grisly case) maybe we will agree on the result?

Some choices should not be allowed to be made. That’s why we have laws at all. Not that laws can’t be changed, adjusted, or eliminated - but " choose to allow others to choose," without distinctions comes pretty close to or achieves the level of “anarchy” < which is all freedom and no security (against criminals for all is legal). Anarchy is another “choice” that ought to be resisted (possibly with even more than an inflammatory comment or two if necessary IMO).

Even anarchy seems superior to Dr. Gosnell’s apparent choices - though the former would allow the latter.
😦

I understand that. Do you not understand that the President of the United States refused to vote for a law that would have made killing these babies this way illegal? In other words, HE APPROVES OF IT!
Be inflamed if you want I suppose, but I’d suggest love the sinner. And try to understand that not everyone else needs to be inflamed, as that tends to foster hate rather than forgiveness or understanding.
Love the sinner but allow him to sin? I understand the sin. Does someone who allows such evil? I’m guessing that he has heard the pro-life side of the argument and has chosen his position with full knowledge of the consequences. Sorry, I’m not into moral relativism. I don’t need to understand his motives behind approving of decapitating babies or of leaving them to die of exposure.

Most of the money and energy spent attacking abortions is being spent here:
