I can’t help but think that if regulated and done properly in certain circumstances we can greatly help our community.
But it has been for 40+ years! And the result is the culture of death prevails. Contraception, abortion, euthanasia, the harvesting of aborted babies for parts, tied in with relentless violence in all forms of media communication and gaming.

24/7/365 death.

So, we have mass murders as a regular thing now.

Murder has been the legal solution, so now it’s the illegal solution.

Oh, but it’s those nasty gunnnnnnzzzz…

And that outdated second amendment…

and the NRAaaaaaaaaa…

We should prepare ourselves to be cut off from China 🇨🇳 Sooner or later we’ll be fighting them and Russia 🇷🇺

We’ve been saying that for 75 years :man_shrugging:t2:

This is why trade is important.

And you believe that system of economics is really doing so well these days? The voters clearly didn’t think so.

Why would we fight Russia? That’s a real head scratcher. No amount of deep-state divisive and dinosaur media propaganda will convince anyone of that. Also, unfortunately we have built China’s manufacturing and GDP up all these years to our own detrement. Clearly there are deeper things going on here.

Yes because the unwashed masses are so smart they’d never support something that sounds good but is actually harmful to themselves

I like trump, voted for him, I’ll do it again. But his protectionist policies are stupid and are going to harm economic growth and cause higher prices for American consumers.

When manufacturing was gradually sent overseas, no savings were really passed on to the consumer and no raises were really given to the people selling the stuff. It all went into the pockets of the corrupt people coming up with the idea to do it; all those US dollars sent overseas and now foreign governments have access to funds which in the end the American people are the ones left paying off the debt of. Also, you have people buying products that weren’t even manufactured in their own countries. The thought of sending my money overseas rather than helping to employ a fellow countryman is ill-inducing. Had manufacturing stayed in place, the prices of everything along with wages would have naturally worked itself out so it would have all balanced out. It will be a somewhat painful road to get back on the right track but it must be done. A nation or continent that can’t be completely self-sufficient is a scary thought.

Dear Steve, There is also a group called Republicans for Choice which began in 1989. Does that make all conservatives automatically for choice? not at all…Some consider themselves conservative by virtue of economics and its trickle down 3 ring circus. Personally I am sick of “persons” with an alliance to a political party of any stripe hijacking the term “pro-life” when they do not take into consideration the human being at all stages of life. Life doesn’t end when the child is born and neither do rights and needs. Regarding the death penalty the government needs to stay out of the business of deciding who lives and dies. It denies mercy through repentance, there is NO sin, I re-iterate, no sin too big that Our Lord cannot forgive, nor died for…even those we would agree are repulsive.
BTW Steve, You are aware that Roe v Wade was decided by 7 judges of the Supreme Court, 6 of whom where appointed by Republicans…Right? A republican court did not guarantee anything related to abortion. Sorry.

No, I was trying to put a bit of humor in a serious subject. I must have failed. I am appalled that people who consider themselves “good Catholics” can support abortion on demand.

Yup… this is what it’s come to in order to compete with China. Even Wal Mart expects American manufacturers to compete with the prices of Chinese ones in order to get their products on Wal Mart shelves. This should have never even been an option and is perhaps something to blame on Nixon and subsequent presidents. Trump is trying to fix the mess of his Republican predecessor.

Also, I hate Amazon. Their multi-billionaire owner drives a Honda!? Even he can’t keep the bit of money he spends on a car completely domestic (if it’s even possible these days, if it were he could do it), what does that say about his company?

You literally have no idea what you’re talking about. Go read an economics book.

Why, in heaven’s name, would you vote for him again??? And what do you like about him? His adultery? Lying? Laziness? Lack of preparation? Kowtowing to dictators?

Fighting isn’t going to be boots on the ground and bombs all around…Heads need to get out of the sand…the days of I’ll Sink Your Battleship are over…I dated myself with that one, hahaha…The war is in the clouds my friend…Your personal information is at risk…The things you consider as private…It’s cyber war, it’s real, and it’s here.

Thanks. You are right, I did not look there. I hope they can exert some influence on their party. As I recall at the last Democratic convention they made pro-life democrats unwelcomed. To me the slavery issue should be instructive. It used to be legal but it wasn’t right. It took the civil war and President Lincoln to get that straightened out!
