The secular media loves it when they can get juicy quotes, the more lurid the better, of priests against bishops. They don’t care which one is liberal or conservative. There may be a lot the bishop can’t say in response because of confidentiality.

Church Militant is part of the secular media.

True, it is.

But I’ve noticed of late - had ignored it for years - it has plenty of named people…many priests “naming names and dates”.

These may come from ‘secular media’…but a rational person doesn’t simply wipe away the facts surfaced simply because they have biases against the secular media.

For instance…does the local diocesean press publish any ugly stories? Of course not. Maybe if they did - if they were fully open, transparent - we wouldn’t have to rely on secular media to evaluate the truth.

so we need to keep our nets open wide, looking for facts that can be substantiated and not stick our noses up in the air or in the sand simply because some people think a news source is part of secular media.

False. We do not rely on clicks to generate revenue. We offer much of our content for free, including news articles, daily Headlines, Vortex, and many other videos.

Like many other websites, we offer the option of choosing a Premium subscription, which unlocks access to other programming for those who choose a subscription. This is the primary we our apostolate is supported. We also rely on donations to support our work.

But no revenue is generated by clicks.

CM is not part of the secular media.

We are a faithful, orthodox group of Catholics who love the Church and want the rot and corruption exposed and expunged from Her ranks.

The only way to do that is to expose the rot to the disinfectant light of day. That is often what it takes to force bishops to start implementing true reform.

Too much evil happens in secrecy and in the dark. It must be exposed, for the good of the Church.

False.

CM reports on things the secular media often won’t touch, namely, the problem of rampant homosexuality in the Church and the bishops and cardinals who enable it.

By definition, CM is secular. There are faithful Catholics in many secular communication companies; it doesn’t make the company part of the Church.

Just because a Diocese objects to lay Catholic organisations being called “Catholic” (without compliancy) and invokes Canon Law (like those pharisees), CM is only “secular” in the same way as “secular” Catholic priests. CM is the single effective lay Catholic collective agitator against what Pope Francis has called clericalism, and the disgusting filth among much (maybe 10%) of our clergy

Thanks for the note.

Please cite a single story we’ve reported that is false.

It’s secular in exactly the way the National Catholic Reporter is secular.

He’s doing good work. He has been right and is a whistle blower. A little heavy though

The staff of national Catholic Reporter could say all of the above. But their status is the same as CM. They are not, as an organization, affiliated with any denomination. This, they and CM are secular media

CM_Admin, why hasn’t Michael Voris appeared on The World Over with Raymond Arroyo or any other EWTN program?

I’m pretty sure that staff from National Catholic Reporter or Call to Action also do not appear there. If CM administrator wants, they could comment on exclusion of those groups as well.
