Let’s get the names of all the muslims threatening him and protesting him. Then put them on a list of people who can never visit or emigrate to the West. He should be given asylum over and above muslim applicants.
I’m not sure what Christian group he belongs to. But I did find the following. For the sake of curiousity, has anyone said what Christian group he belongs to?
sure he is a poor guy …Well what do you expect? I’d be heading for (from?) the hills too, if I were that poor guy.
Will you please use some common sense? Freedom means you have the ability as a grown adult to choose your religion and your own faith and be free in your own dealings.sure he is a poor guy …
dear I think all of west call of freedom nowdays , so why when we practice it you reject it.
I’ll explain , because no one use his/her mind nowdys .
when the west asked the people “do you want to be under christianity rule” they refuse , because they know what their POOR fathers before many years had under church domination and by the name of god , so any one want to do anything you must dont ask him/her why , they want that.
while the greatest majority of Muslims want to be under Sharia (Islamic rule) so wh practice it …
dear, use your mind , because I cant explain everything to you , the God will ask you about the mind wich he gave .
Great idea, Father. I like your thinking.Let’s get the names of all the muslims threatening him and protesting him. Then put them on a list of people who can never visit or emigrate to the West. He should be given asylum over and above muslim applicants.
And what would you do to him if he did come to your house live?He can come to my house and live with me.![]()
Welcome to the forums!I believe, as a Muslim (although I admit not the “best” Muslim) , I believe that the Prophet’s (saaws) words, “Let there be no compulsion in religion” should take precedence over anything else which is quoted kind of “out of context” regarding killing “infidels” , or apostates, etc. Those things, those revelations which he received, they had come, I believe, during times of great distress for himself and the earliest 'umma. When he (saaws) said to “slay them wherever you find them” for instance he was referring to some Meccan polytheist treaty-breakers I believe, and they were at war. Likewise for killing apostates, etc. We have to treat such parts of the revelations as perhaps, time, period, or circumstance specific. Yes that sounds like relativism. But at the same time ask yourself if we can treat the NT, let alone the OT, to the same treatment as some Christians (usually fundamentalist “Evangelical” types in all fairness to you here) would like to give to the Qu’ran all the time, analyzing every word of it and then applying it literally to modern day situations, just to make Islam look worse than the terrorists have already made it look. For example, should not Christians, all of them, leave their family, possessions, etc, and go off into the wilderness to follow Jesus (pbuh) ? I hardly think the vast majority of Christians today would be so inclined. Should they not “pluck out the eye” if the eye is the source of their troubles, or cut off whatever limb or body part is the source of their sinning , as Jesus (pbuh) once suggested ? Again, I hardly think we can expect most modern day Christians to be so inclined. And these are just a couple of examples. So when people get all angry and say things like, “See, the Muslims believe they should behead apostates”, consider that *all * , or even the vast majority of, Muslims do not think this is so or is applicable in modern day situations in countries which wish to consider themselves civilized.
Whereas, I believe, “Let there be no compulsion in religion” is of universal and eternal meaning, not just time or period specific, if you will.
Peace be with Abdul Rahmen, may he have inner peace with his religion and go now to whatever country he likes in peace. He has his religion and I have mine.
Salaam.
Treat him kindly, let him sleep on my bed, make him breakfast, drive him places etc. Take him to the mosque and show him true Muslims, teach him, if he needs mental help, perhaps get him to a counselor and all that good stuff. And what would you do to him if he did come to your house live?
Beloved are you Muslim? I am not sure if you are and I don’t agree with everything you said above, however just a small correction, let there be no compulsion in religion, slay them wherever you find them etc are part of the Quran and not the Prophet peace be upon him words.I believe, as a Muslim (although I admit not the “best” Muslim) , I believe that the Prophet’s (saaws) words, “Let there be no compulsion in religion” should take precedence over anything else which is quoted kind of “out of context” regarding killing “infidels” , or apostates, etc. Those things, those revelations which he received, they had come, I believe, during times of great distress for himself and the earliest 'umma. Alrighty then, may God bestow many blessings upon you! :angel1:Treat him kindly, let him sleep on my bed, make him breakfast, drive him places etc. Take him to the mosque and show him true Muslims, teach him, if he needs mental help, perhaps get him to a counselor and all that good stuff.
ps: none of the above is a joke or exageration.

Yes I am, a revert to Islam from Christianity, Catholicism, like these people here on the board (the majority at least, Catholics that is). My family is still Catholic, although only parents are really “practicing”. I became a Muslim officially over 3 yrs ago now, in early '03. I hold “liberal” religious views I would say, I know I am not the “best” Muslim I could be, as I said in my post, I’m lax in a lot of ways. But , nonetheless I still believe Lailaha illAllah wa Muhammadar Rasulullah, and I think at least that that is what counts most.Asalaamu alaykum wa Rahmatullah wa Barakaatuh Emad,
what do you mean? that they apply now?Beloved are you Muslim? I am not sure if you are and I don’t agree with everything you said above, however just a small correction, let there be no compulsion in religion, slay them wherever you find them etc are part of the Quran and not the Prophet peace be upon him words.
“Revert”? You were never Muslim before…Yes I am, a revert to Islam from Christianity, Catholicism, like these people here on the board (the majority at least, Catholics that is).
I don’t know what particular thing you are talking about. Not all verses apply now, however if there is something specific I will be more than happy to answer it. All sharia laws can’t be applied today as there is no Khalifa.what do you mean? that they apply now?
