Since the incarnation of God on earth as Jesus, the Christ, there has been no need of any other prophet. He gave us the Holy Spirit, and His Church to preserve His word and covenant. As the second member of the Trinity, He will come again to judge the living and the dead, and His kingdom shall have no end. God said all He has to say, and formed the eternal convenant with mankind in His passion, death, and resurrection. Islam came about AFTER the resurrection and ascension of our Lord, the imparting of the Holy Spirit, and the sending out of the Apostles to form the God’s Church.Prophet Mohammad prayer and peace be upon him taught us to respect all the prophets: Jesus, Mosus, David, Solomon, Joun, Zakariya, etc, peace be upon them all.
Never you will find a muslim mocking at any prophet.
Islam does not accept that Jesus IS God. This is not something which can be resolved. It is what it is. Islam and Christianity can not both be true. Jesus Is who he says He Is, in which case all of the rest of mankinds’ religions formed after the incarnation of God in human form are folly. Or he was nothing but a confused young man, who attracted much attention to himself, and eventually bringing the ire of the local religious in 1st century Judea.
One thing is for sure. If we accept Jesus as who He Is, then he is not a prophet as claimed by Islam. He is God, incarnate on Earth. The Word made flesh.
Matthew 16:
13* Now when Jesus came into the district of Caesarea Philippi, he asked his disciples, “Who do men say that the Son of man is?” 14* And they said, “Some say John the Baptist, others say Elijah, and others Jeremiah or one of the prophets.” 15 He said to them, “But who do you say that I am?” 16* Simon Peter replied, “You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.” 17* And Jesus answered him, “Blessed are you, Simon Bar-Jona! For flesh and blood has not revealed this to you, but my Father who is in heaven. 18* And I tell you, you are Peter, * and on this rock * I will build my church, and the powers of death * shall not prevail against it. 19* I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven, and whatever you bind on earth shall be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.”
John 1:
9* The true light that enlightens every man was coming into the world. 10 He was in the world, and the world was made through him, yet the world knew him not. 11 He came to his own home, and his own people received him not. 12* But to all who received him, who believed in his name, he gave power to become children of God; 13* who were born, not of blood nor of the will of the flesh nor of the will of man, but of God. 14* And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, full of grace and truth; we have beheld his glory, glory as of the only Son from the Father. 15* (John bore witness to him, and cried, “This was he of whom I said, ‘He who comes after me ranks before me, for he was before me.’”) 16* And from his fulness have we all received, grace upon grace. 17* For the law was given through Moses; grace and truth came through Jesus Christ.
Revelation 22:
16* “I Jesus have sent my angel to you with this testimony for the churches. I am the root and the offspring of David, the bright morning star.” 17* The Spirit and the Bride say, “Come.” And let him who hears say, “Come.” And let him who is thirsty come, let him who desires take the water of life without price. 18 I warn every one who hears the words of the prophecy of this book: if any one adds to them, God will add to him the plagues described in this book, 19 and if any one takes away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God will take away his share in the tree of life and in the holy city, which are described in this book. 20 He who testifies to these things says, “Surely I am coming soon.” Amen. Come, Lord Jesus! 21* The grace of the Lord Jesus be with all the saints. * Amen.
Philippians 2:
9* Therefore God has highly exalted him and bestowed on him the name which is above every name, 10 that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, 11 and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.
I love and respect the free will of man. I struggled through nearly 1/2 a century of my life before the Lord graced me with conversion. My prayers will forever be with those who are still without the light. Understanding is a good thing, and peace is a good thing. I have nothing but love for my Islamic brothers and sisters. God is all merciful, and if those caught up in the heresy of Islam are truly without knowledge or understanding of Christ, then they may be considered in the category of invincibly ignorant at judgement. It is WAY above my paygrade to decide such things. I pass no judgement. So, peace be upon you, and may the Holy Spirit guide you to the loving heart of His son, our Savior, Jesus Christ in the fullness of time. I will continue to witness, as I can do no other thing. I’m a disciple of the Lord. But my witness is brought with love, and my wishes for peace among men are ernest.
Peace to you,
Steven
