I’m also sad that Gideon got the boot. I would’ve sent Will home instead. He’ll be the first off next week I think.

I felt badly for Ayla, seeing her cry. I think it’s probably the first time she’s failed at anything. I think it’s almost cruel to make them sing when they just get the news and once again have to hear… “You just picked an awful song…” Now will you sing it one more time?

OK… so who wants to predict? I think it will come down to Chris vs. Taylor in the final 2.

The one they keep saying is a “sex symbol” - and how many times MUST they say that in front of my kids?
 
Gideon was robbed. Well, not really I guess since it is by vote. But common! Chicken Little beat Perma-grin? No fair. And just who is voting for Chicken Little anyway? Is it all the voters under 12 and over 76 as Simon suggested?

Yes, I like to nick name them too.

I thought the same thing about them having to sing the songs that got them axed! They’ll be hating those songs for the rest of their lives. Very Cruel!

I think Kevin should have gone, Gideon should have stayed another round. Much more a showman than Kevin.

I agree - Chris vs. Taylor / Mandisa vs. Kellie or Katherine, can’t tell yet.
 
I just watched tonight’s episode via DVR (after my Lenten scripture study group) and I have to agree that Gideon was not my pick to go home tonight. Granted, I was a little annoyed with him in the beginning, but I guess that’s just coz he’s got a very different personality - but man, he’s talented!! In fact, all 4 of the ones going home tonight were extremely talented! It was actually hard to see Kinnik and Ayla go!

But I’m really excited about the top 12!
 
Has anyone noticed how Ryan is is just a little too sarcastic to Simon? The others…Randy not as much but Paula is too…

Maybe they are trying to be noticed more…
 
I was really shocked to see Ayla go, and pretty surprised to see Gedeon go. Ayla has been in my top two since the beginning and Gedeon had one of the best voices in the bunch.

I was really hoping to see Kevin go as I find him to have just become too full of himself. I was also hoping to see Paris go for the same reason, although I was actually expecting it to be Melissa.

The most fearful thing to me is the prospect of having to watch Taylor jerk around on the stage for too many more weeks. :eek:

My husband wondered if he had some sort of disorder? I just think that he’s got music in his soul & it makes him wanna dance. Albeit badly. :dancing:

I kinda wish Ryan and Simon would just knock it off. It’s absurd the way they do that. I usually FF right through that nonsense. Thank goodness for DVRs! 😉

Maybe they think that America is amused by all that nonsense. We just want to see the singing contest, leave the judges antics out of the mix!

What’s this stuff about Ryan being “outed”? Anyone else hearing about this latest “scandal”? Do they really need anymore hype about this show, I mean, everyone is already watching, what more do they need?

I too get tired of Ryan always digging Simon. Simon is always taking guff off of him, even though Simon is the only honest one, and is generally right although blunt.

Ryan was outed? You mean everyone knows he dyes his hair now?

What he needs is a good choreographer who digs his kind of thing.

Taylor’s natural moves reminded me of Elvis Presley in Jailhouse Rock. No choreographers in his day knew the least thing about rock and roll, so they didn’t know what to do with Elvis’ moves. If you watch the Jailhouse Rock dance number you can tell the people that directed him were used to staging traditional musicals–it looks so funny with that phony jail set and the dancers gyrating around–they knew not why. They should have done it in a real jail/prison and allowed Elvis to just be himself, IMHO.
 
Taylor Hicks is cool. Who he reminds me of is Joe Cocker, with all the spastic moves and grooves. Voice too. I think he should do a JC song.

I think it will come down to Chris and Taylor. But if Katherine gets her act together she could do it too. I will put my money on Chris and Taylor though.
What about Ace? He has all that X factor. But for some reason he just gives me the ‘ick’.

I think they’re trying to stir up some more buzz. I noticed last week when Ryan was trying to help Will with his wardrobe by pulling his shirt out of his pants, there were some awkward remarks made by Randy and Simon. Like if Will knew what they knew, he wouldn’t have let Ryan near him.

Now, there seems to be some sort of rumour flying around about Ryan being “outed”. I think it’s a joke, but there’s always someone trying to stir up some controversial buzz. The show doesn’t need it, it’s doing well just with the contest, as far as I’m concerned. It’s about the talent. That’s why I watch.
