Another Host on eBay (4/28)

Whilst the accidents remain complete it is still the Body and Blood of Christ, only when it no longer resembles its original form it ceases to be the Eucharist, i.e when we consume and digest the Host.

Is that what the Council of Trent meant by “decompose”?
 
I do not use ebay now, but if I did…I would stop. Since they have no respect for my Lord, they do not deserve my business. Are there alternative sites we can recommend to friends and relatives who do auction online? Is there any auction site that has made it clear that they would not sell sacred items like this?

To be honest I do not know, but when something starts to loose it’s structural form from the elements or other means it is generally known as decomposing.
 
**Absolute atrosity! I have e-mailed all I could and I hope it all ends. STOP SELLING JESUS! It’s bad enough that these people don’t know what they have, but to then be told and still hold contempt! God will judge them as he does us all, but never have I seen such sacralige! :banghead: **

**In my book they are known as e-Judas:mad: A lawyer said on FOX news the last time this happened that e-Judas would not sell Morman religious garments because they didn’t want to offend them:banghead: APPARENTLY<they do not care about offending Catholics,I am sooo beyond offended right now I am livid:tsktsk: :banghead: **

My entire idea on the morality of society is crumbled!

What fool would do this?

And what of those whom are excommunicated? they could still use communion or worse burn or soil our only savior and last prophet.

The fool that let this proceed should himself be excommunicated. This is worse than the corrupt market at the temple! this is heresy and blasphemy. To think our God up for bid with a twenty four hour waiting period!

thats “like not going to happen”. They must be made to stop.
Paying a ransom will only encourage more slimeballs. Maybe
Ave Maria Law School in Ann Arbor, Michigan, would have some ideas on how to make EBay see the light. Meanwhile, I seriously
think the Bishops should reconsider people receiving the Holy
Eucharist in the hand and the Precious Blood by Cup. If the faithful receive Communion by Intincture (spelling) there would not be the opportunity for a thief to take the Holy Eucharist away. Its more important to protect our Holy Mass than to have the reception of Holy Communion accomplished more speedily.

Whatever happens, don’t anyone bid for the Host, this is what the seller is hoping for, for Catholics to feel blackmailed and compelled into buying the Host.

I have emailed Cardinal Cormac Murphy O’Connor, the UK’s Primate.

Dear Cardinal Cormac Murphy O’Connor

I am a Catholic woman living in the Uk. In this past week it has come to my attention that a Eucharist has been on sale at Ebay from a seller in the United States. I have let you know of this and it has made national news in the USA. After the Diocese took appropriate action, the Host was returned to the Church and disposed of according to Church Law and no sale nor exchange of monies took place. Now I am outraged to learn that a further Eucharist is on sale by a UK seller.

I implore you to negotiate with Ebay to prohibit the sale of sacred items inclusive of the Eucharist on their online auction site. Please click on the link above which is taken from Ebay and is the sale as outlined by the UK seller. I cannot give credance nor verification of the truth sof this, but it is opening the floodgates for attempted theft of the Eucharist from our Eucharistic Celebration of Holy Mass and Ebay is providing the means and ability to seel such an alledged item as a Eucharistic Host.

First Terri and now selling Jesus on the internet. I have a feeling that God is very angry or sad or both and that scares me. Why do we tempt the Lord?. If I am not mistaken that is one thing that he really frowns upon. What has happened to us?..what will happen next?. A frightening concept that I don’t even want to consider.

I will never use E-Bay again and I will spread the word at my church too.

Today (4/29/05) appeared Ebay item # 6174833383 claims to be a host consecrated by JPII. I have filed a complaint with Ebay please also do what you can!

It amazes me that our Lord not only humbles himself to the point of food for us, but in such a defenseless way that he can be abused to the point of being bought and sold.
