It might not even be the only anomaly in the catechism as I read and study. But most certainly believe as your conscience guides you. Even the catechism tells us we must abide by our consciences so as not to be condemned. Yes perhaps another anomaly. But if killing a known human born being does more harm than good, I’ll choose the route of less harm. Nevertheless God bless you on your journey of faith and peace.Are you not aware that the issues involved here do not begin and end with 2267?

2267 is an anomaly in Church teaching on capital punishment and can only be incorporated with everything else she teaches by seeing it as the prudential belief that, in current society, it does more harm than good. That is, it is a prudential choice, not a moral law.
