Thanks…you just proved my point…the paranoia is from people like you…The man was correct…the people that were in his line of fire were communist sympathizers and spies…then McCarthy gets a bad rep for calling them out…why don’t you try to see the truth instead a big conspiracy.

Sure he did…go on and believe that…The bus driver was the scapegoat…like DM is going to admit to doing something like that…he had the bus driver take the rap then paid the fines…how noble…Your analogy is so far fetched…If the bus driver was given the order by DM, it doesn’t matter if he is in another country…the guy works for him and did what he was told. Dropping wasted into someones rivers, etc. is not something take upon themselves to do…he was told to do it…that would be the same as a seaman firing a tomahawk cruise missle without the proper orders…it just isn’t going to happen…but hey, defend the pro-abortionist, pro-hedonist, pro-same sex, pro-everything that is immoral and wrong with our country type people…that is your choice…I know where my loyalties lay and who isn’t getting my money…and scum like this is not getting my money.

They didnt do it. their bus driver did, they fired them. they paid three times the fines the court asked for to make up for it. they werent even on the bus when it happened. that would be like my friend crashing a car, i wasnt with her when she did it but because i knew her, im automatically attached to it…:rolleyes:

Im with you…it is like just because someone cuts a famous single that tops the charts…they are infallible and can do no wrong…people value their personal interest and taste over their moral responsibilities to do what is right at all times…you know, integrity and honor…it seems some lack these qualities.

yes i did now that, he also refers to his band mates as his superiors, he often says he doesnt feel worthy enough to play with them. they are great friends, all married, all parents. have you seen his daughters? they are beautiful, there is this one photo of him and his wife i love, shes looking so lovingly at him. they are such a nice family.

As for everyone else. Calm down please. It’s obvious that you’re not going to change anyone’s minds here. The thread’s name wasn’t “What do you think of DMB’s political agenda?” Stop raining on everyone else’s parade.

This is Dave with his wife. they have two beautiful twin daughters as well.

They are all artists, and all the originals, Boyd Tinsley also has a solo album. if you go to their fan website. The Official Dave Matthews Band Website, there are bios about all of them and some samples of their art work.
 
In all fairness, the question did not target their music…it only asked if we are fans of DMB…and I gave my reasons why I AM NOT a fan…granted, they are talented and sing well, but that is overshadowed by their other actions, which are just as much in the spotlight as their music, so it is fair game.

That’s the first time I have ever seen his wife. She’s beautiful. Now I want to see his daughters!
 
you know there are not that many pictures of them in the public at all. he wrote a song for his daughters and while they were playing it at a concert some photos of his and the other guys kids were put on the screen. they all have ADORABLE kids!

I listened to nothing but Dave Matthews from the mid 90s til i started having children in 2000 (not much time for concerts anymore). Haven’t kept up with the music scene since then but looking but at his music I’m familiar with, I’m torn.

On one hand he puts together a beautiful and religious piece like the Christmas Song - “…father up above, why in this hatred do you fill me up with love, love, love…”

Contrast that with Crash - “…hike up your skirt a little more and show your world to me…” and Say Goodbye - “…tonite lets be lovers…tomorrow go back to being friends…tomorrow say goodbye…”

It didn’t bother me then because I was living the life he sung about. I’m much happier now.
 
well like most artists some of his music is just that just music. and some of it is SO Inspirational. his song Mr. Walking Man, really touched my heart at a time i was flip flopping with my faith, and a song he has about trying to bloom in someone elses shadow, was the story of my child hood. so much of it can be extremely inspirational, but you know some of it is just music. tunes for dancin’!

My favorite dancin’ song is Trippin Billies and Drive in Drive out. Whoa boy, do I miss those concerts!
